how do you feel about pet names?

i know that in relationships a lot of times you will have nicknames for each other like babe,baby or something like that, and i thought that a lot of people liked them but i have heard lately that some girls dont like it and with my girlfriend if i call her by her first name and not baby or whatever she thinks that i am upset with her or something like that, so i was just wondering how do you feel about pet names, do you like them or do you dislike them? and whats your favorite if you do like them? i would like to take this time to thank everyone for taking the time out of your day to come by and read and review my discussion and hopefully answering, and trying to help me, and i hope that you all have a great day and night tonight, thanks again for taking the time to stop by.

I like them. It makes me feel special. Though I do like being called by my name now and then... it just feels a bit formal to me. That's what my friends call me and I like to be called something special.

I like it when my husband calls me by my pet names that he gave me. He did give me a few throughout our relationship and our marriage. When we were first getting to know each other and he found out that I grew up at the shoreline, he called me Beach Bear. Then as we got to know each other a lot more he called me Cuddle Bear. We have been married 5 years now and he still calls me these and more. It got to be just being Bear, Babe or Hon.
His nickname that was given by his Dad was Grizz Bear because of the size hugs he would give. He uses this name all the time. He writes lyrics and calls the collection GrizzBear Lyrics. That is why my nicknames begin with "Bear".
Sappy but very loving.

well i love pet names, as long as they are sweet and not insulting lol
I have all kinds of pet names for my man, i call him sweetstuff, sexy, sweetheart, sexy beast, and sometimes baby, but it depends on what im saying. usually ''baby'' only comes out when its following ''oh'' lol And when i think of a new one that fits i just add it to the list! He has some for me too, i dont mind them at all. They delight me!
