Who else here sells Avon?

Is there anyone else on here that also sells Avon? I am an Avon rep but haven't been actively trying to gain new customers. Now that my husband has been laid off from work for a few weeks I would like to try to build my Avon customer base to make as much extra money as possible. I have a few ideas of my own as to how I can try to get more customers, but I was wondering if any of you out there have some good ideas that you have used and has gotten you new customers? I thought I could compile a mailing list of contacts and people in my neighborhood and send them postcards once in a while. I also thought I could start carrying books in my purse and leave them in the grocery carts and in department stores. But I want to hear any tricks you have done that have provenly worked good for you. I will take any suggestions you are willing to share with me! Thank you!

Check out the fundraising, pick a non-proit that you like (I chose my local Humane Society). Get involved in non-profit organizations that have volunteers. These volunteers are your potential customer base.

I tried selling Avon in my late teen years but It wasn't for me. I was too shy. But there were people I knew making good money for it and they would do so by hosting make up parties. They would determine by looking at a person what colors work best for them and then apply make up from a sample to show them how more beautiful they can look and the people were so amazed they would spend their pay check.

i sold avon for 10 years several years ago and always carried books with me. you never know when you will see a customer or a potential one anyways! get to know your neighbours and any other social group that you see. walk your kids to school. get friendly with their moms. right now is your best time to sell avon and make new customers - where else can you get a 99 cent under arm antipersperant?

i am recently registered as avon FD.i am a student and it comes to my mind to find some ways to gain money for my study and i found avon. even, it's only my few months in avon but for me, it helps me a lot....simple...i only convince my costumers by telling them how avon serves to their customers by providing their needs...show them the books of avon...

Hi tklich - I just started selling Avon last month. How long have you? I have been doing many of the same things as you but without much success so far. I'll be delivering more catalogs today in my neighborhood. I want to get the newest campaign 5s out as soon as possible. I have only gotten a few orders so far but none of them from books I've put out around my home. The only orders I have gotten so far have been online order from contacts I have on the internet. No friends, no family (well, that's not true... my mom ordered a tube of lipstick - lol). Good luck with your sales tklich. I know I need all the luck I can get! :)
