hardworking in the elementary school, middle school, highschool !

my eldest son is 8 years old, 1st year in the emementary school.
his daily schedule is too tight to rest,play with his friends. wakeup early, goto school , goto institute , goto swimming pool , goto institute and then he come to home at night . our neighbor also same here . All of these hardworking is the thing to enter famous university in the future I guess .
do u think these hardworking in the elementary , middle , highschool is necessary ?

Yes it is. I remember that in my schooling days that I also had hectic schedules plus some extracurricular activities. As of now when technology is rapidly advancing and persons are becoming more competitive, the more rigorous studying will be. The government here in the Philippines is even currently studying a plan which will add up another level on the elementary days. However, that will not be a good idea for a country like us because we are too poor to have quality education, what more if they will add another year, where will the poor people get another year of income just to send their kids to school?
