I recently got my hands on early ECW dvds.
The year is 1993. ECW is still apart of the NWA and known as Eastern Championship Wrestling.
I am up to the last show of May 1993.
1.Super Destroyer #3 -vs- HD Ryder
2.Suicide Blondes vs. Tony Stetson/Larry Winter
3.Don Muraco vs. Ernesto Benefico
4.Canadian Wolfman/Max Thrasher vs. Tommy Cairo/JT Smith
5.Glen Osbourne vs. Jimmy Snuka
It's just as I remembered when I was watching the shows back in the day on vhs tapes.
This brings back some good memories.
Whats every ones earliest memories of ECW?

The area I live in did not carry the original ECW until late in its life with RVD,Sabu, and others supplying the excitement.I remember thinking how awesome it was and the action was WAY better than WCW or WWE/F.I did notice they really did not need a ring and that almost every match went out of control with outside interfearence being the norm. This was around the same time RVD broke his leg and was out for awhile(TV champion,I believe).
I have been searching online for some of these matches to watch, but have only found the newer, bland type WWE is trying to pawn off.The entertainment brought by Sandman and Dreamer and the others still shines far brighter for their energy and willingness to do what ever it took to make the fan feel s/he got his money's worth.
If you find a place online where I can download some the those matches,I would appreciate a heads-up.They would give the sports entertainment athletes a lesson in how to work a crowd and leave them wanting more.
