I need help figuring out what to do with my hair. Haven't changed it in 13 years

I had the exact same dilema a year or so ago. My hair was a disaster. I had no clue what to do with it so I just found a hairdresser that gave consultations and went to her. I told her what lenght I wanted and pretty much let her do her magic. When I was done I couldn't believe it was my hair, it looked great. She cut it shoulder length and layered it and shaped it at the sides. She straightened it as well. Before it was a matter of wash my hair and throw it in a bun, now I spend a bit more time and dry and straightn it, but it looks a lot better. I would suggest maybe doing the same thing and go to a consultation. The hair cut cost a bit more, but it was worth it. Plus I had saved so much money not having my hair cut in years that I could justify it. Good Luck :)
