I quitted for almost two weeks but i did not find a job yet because of today's economic crisis.Yesterday,i got a call from my ex-boss and ask me to go back to work because they can not find people suitable for my position.Yeah, maybe it's a good thing for me now , but i feel really boring doing that kind of job, that's why i leave that company at first.whether i should accept my ex-boss's invitation?

If you NEED employment then consider yourself lucky. If the reason that you left the job was due to boredom, hopefully this was not at the risk of the livelihood of your family. One, you could consider yourself luck in that as an employer I usually would not ask someone to come back after they "quit" their job. I would consider that abandoning your position and would not risk that again. I would also be concerned with the effect that it would have on the rest of the employee's. I would not want them to think that they could do the same thing, and in a couple of weeks I'd ask them back. Two, as you mentioned in todays economy jobs are getting scarce. I am sure there are a lot of people that would love to be in your position.

Thanks for your comment. Actually it's a new company,it starts when i just went there and i would be the oldest employee there. My ex-boss is also a newcomer, maybe he thought that i was familiar with all business there and most of my clients like me.But the point is that my ex boss is someone who alway changes out.He makes one decision one day and then change the next day, i'm alway at a loose end and feel boring.

No Way! I quit a job recently and I wouldn't go back even if my boss offered me a raise. But I guess I wasn't just bored with that job, I left because I was unhappy with the management. But I guess your situation is different. If its between going back to your old job and going broke then I guess you don't really have a choice. Good Luck.

If the only reason you left the job in the first place was because it was boring, I would definitely consider returning to work until you find something more suitable. Normally when you move on to a new job you can give notice to your current employer that you're resigning and your new employer will wait for you to finish work there. Doing it this way, you shouldn't actually be missing out on too much pay. If you go back and tell you ex boss of your intentions, this gives him time to find someone suitable for you job also. That way, it's a "win win" situation for both of you. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Most jobs get boring after awhile. I'd go back to your old job. You can always be looking for something better while you're there. It's strange, but more often than not, people find a job when they already have one

..well, for me, considering the crisis that the world is experiencing now, we really don't have a choice but to get into jobs even if we don't really feel working like that.. We need jobs for our survival.. Maybe, you accept it while looking for some other jobs that you really want.. If you've already found another job, that's the time you quit your ex-boss's offer.. Of course, you have to inform you ex-boss's that you will not be working for a long time in his company so they still have to look for somebody who will takeover your position in the future..

If you dont enjoy the job anymore, there is no reason for you to go back there. But if you are thinking of not finding another job and you'll be jobless for months or weeks, then grab it.

Well, if the job is only boring and the pay is good I would take the offer. If the job was stressful and wasn't meeting my financial needs I would decline the job offer.
