I remember growing up watching the Charlie Brown specials. Halloween & Thanksgiving. Now my son watches them & loves them. I think it's fun to watch them with him. Another one of my favorite toons growing up as a child was Garfield. My son loves Garfield as well. So what about you & your family?

My mom always liked to watch them when my sister and I were children. She remembers watching them when she was younger. So even though she is going to turn fifty next year, she will watch the Charlie Brown Christmas no matter who is around. I don't think anyone really gets "too old" to see those kind of specials.

I loved the Charlie Brown specials growing up, but one of the things that made them so special is that there was not a lot of other things for us to watch throughout the year so it made it an event. My kids have 24/7 cartoons and specials and tons of movies to watch, etc. So they just don't get as excited to watch these old holiday movies. We used to get so excited to watch all the Holiday specials as well as Wizard of Oz and Sound of Music that came on about once a year on Sunday night. It was a big deal cuz if you missed it, you couldn't just go down and rent it or order it on-line or take it out of your DVD collection and watch it whenever you want.

Yeah, as many toons as there on tv today children don't have the opportunity to be able to enjoy & look forward to those annual toons as we did. I remember watchin wizard of oz w/my cousins & stuff too. Best wishes.

I sure did! I loved watching the Charlie Brown specials when I was growing up. Heck, I still enjoy watching them now! LOL My youngest son enjoys them as well. I can't say the same about my oldest as he's not into watching TV. I haven't seen any Garfield specials in years. I loved the comics and had most of the books. He was definitely one cool cat!

We don't have Charlie Brown cartoons here on TV, except on Dvds and in comic books or newspapers. I love the gang, especially dear ole Snoopy. My second nephew (5 years old) loves Snoopy, because that's my favorite dog, and he gave me a Snoopy toy one Christmas. His siblings (8 year old brother, and 3-year old sister) are more into Ben-10, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

I personally am quite familiar with Charlie Brown and Schultz because as I was growing up, I was able to watch some series of this cartoon show. I am already married for almost six years now and we do have one daughter for a child who is now three years of age. She loves Dora the Explorer, Diego, Hi-5, Blue's Clues, Tom and Jerry, and Wonderpets, among others. But with regards to Charlie Brown, it is quite unfortunate that it isn't visible or available with any channels locally.
