How do you react when you have to wait for someone or something? Are you just too much patience that you do not feel bad? Or do you feel bad? restless? angry? I face this problem each day while I have to wait long for the bus while going back home from office. I have to wait always and feel frustrated at times. I have heard a friend that in time of waiting, she enjoys looking at people.

I do that so many times in my life. I don't think I don't have that patience to wait but I do feel mad and restless. Because if I don't have patience then I could maybe be starting a fight with my partner hhehhe, he sometimes say he will come this time, but well he get to long to come than the time he promised so I have to sit and wait for him, but well I don't really get over these feelings. Like you waiting on a bus I too have felt sucks for waiting, but I try not to be over of my feelings, because the more I do the more it seems making me more to feel that. So I just try to do something else or maybe imgaine while waiting, just whatever, esp waiting for hubby,,,, there is a saying... Better late than Never hehehe... Waiting is a part of life, it counts how much patience we have and we can give, but it worth the wait because after you'll get what you deserve...!

i do get into the feeling of being restless and a little irritated but that happens after a considerable wait. I think i can be quite patient when waiting for someone. Keeping your mind preoccupied with other things most certainly helps.

I get very jittery and since I have to keep up with something, may be office, work or some appointment I get annoyed. But it doesn't help and at the end of the day I a being the one who suffers from ill health. On some other times when I am not in a hurry, which happens very rarely though, I am Ok with it. Try to enjoy the ride.

I also enjoy looking or watching people while i wait... but if i get restless and bored... i would send a text message or call the perso i am waiting for... so that i will know how much longer i need to wait for them... good thing most of us have cell phones now... since we can always communicate with other people...

Hi Subha, it depends on the situation. If I'm waiting for someone or something that would disrupt the rest of my schedule, like making me late for other meetings or appointments, I would be very angry. But if it's something that I am prepared for, like waiting at the hospital, dentist, or daily traffic jams, then I would just have to be patient and relax!

I can wait a considerable amount of time.I don't get angry or restless. Actually you can use this time very creatively. Some tips I use to help me to wait more without a BP jump: 1) Make your mind occupied with anything else, something you love to think about. 2) Take a Pen and paper and write down the ideas coming to your mind. 3) Collect motivtional talks in your mobile or Ipod to spice up these moments. 4) Read books or Magazines. This method is extremely wonderful. Some times I even felt that the person I was waiting arrived too early.I wished I get some more couple of minutes to finish the intresting pargraph! 5) Watch people.I could not find a sport better than this! There are more things I do, but it is beyond the scope of this discussion. I will collect them in a book entitled, "One more couple of minutes please : Make waiting more enjoyable" (Joking) ;)

Hi Subha I hate waiting and get irritated beyond words. I have found a way of being less irritated. Before I leave[be it for a local train or bus] I mentally keep a waiting time of 20 minutes /30 min and decide thatI won't get irritated.Whether I get irritated or not I have to make the journey;so why should I lose my cool? --I think in these terms and go with a mental makeup that I am going to be forced to wait. Here if it happens then my irritation is less compared to starting woth an irritable frame of mind.If it does not happen the surprise is so pleasant that you slowly start doing this whenever you go out. However, my trips are so rare [even then the waiting time for trains and buses is greater than the time spent exactlyin a friend's or relative's place] and distress isthereby less intense. You try it on a few days and see if it works out for you.

Similarly when I go to visit the eye doctor or some other doctor I mentally prepare myself and go with a book.

This is one of the reasons I love modern technology. I usually never leave home without my cell phone, or ipod for that matter. I have games on both and videos, movies, music, etc. Enough to keep me busy during those times I am caught waiting for someone. So I guess the answer is yes, I do get restless, but I have an answer for that all the time!

I think it is up to the circumstances case of the station.when I am waiting the elevator,I may watch the elevator's number,or look the person I don't recognize,if I am waiting the bus,I may be very anxious if I was on the work time, but if I am go to shopping with my boyfriend, then I like enjoy the waiting time, then we can talk something.

I dont have a patience to wait, that is why i want to be late than i am the one waiting for them to come. I know it is not good for being tardy but still i like doing it mostly because i avoid waiting in a place where i have nothing to do. Specially when meeting someone like a friend or a family members to come.

I do fine waiting for a while, but when it goes on into the hours I start to get impatient and then uncomfortable. I do not get angry, just impatient. It does not accomplish anything to get angry, just raises my blood pressure.

It really depends on the situation. I hate waiting for people especially when we had made confirmation on where and when to meet up. Waiting like that will makes me angry especially if we're meet up to do something important. But I'll be patient if I wait for the bus, if only I am angry. Because a hungry man is an angry man, you know. ;)

I always carry a good book and maybe the newspaper and a pen where ever I go. I am always waiting either on my kids or for an appointment or something. Getting annoyed does absolutely no good and does not speed things up so it is best to just entertain yourself however you can and breath deep. If I get really into a good book ...I may even be more annoyed at not being held up longer.

Yes, if someone says that he would come at a particular time and had not come for about 15 minutes, I use to get angry and go away, though he comes for my sake...... coz, I am very much consider about the punctuality........

One of the thing that I hate the most is waiting and making people wait for me. I always ensure that I am present at the destined place atleast 5 mins before the fixed time. I don't like to make people wait for me. I hate waiting also. Will wait at the max for 10 mins and if they don't arrive at the right time,i'll leave the place. Atleast when they come late due to some reasons,we shud have the coutesy to call and inform them that we shall be late by few mins. U shud be really punctual and I am so particular about that. Cheers

I am a student at school,so I shoud wait every time and every where.Sometimes I wouid get angry, but most time I would wait for them with a lot patience.Because I think wait is the basic thing that I must do everyday. If you do the same ,you will feel better.Do you want have a try?
