Almost every month there seem to be a feast celebration on going.. and when there i a feast on a town there always comes a carnival or locally known as Perya. There are some cool rides on the local carnivals like Ferris wheels and caterpillar rides. There is one thing though that attracts a lot of people here.. the games! I love playing then on the games, like ABC games, Bingo and the game where you throw in 25 cents. OH and there was this game they called running light.. are you familiar with those kind of perya games? do you like playing those games?
Or have you been to carnivals and enjoyed riding the local ride even though there is always a threat of safety on those My favorite then was the Octopus ride. I really had a time riding that one! and Oh! I forgot the firing game.. it is where small balloons are lined up in the wall and you have to fire a pellet gun on those and you win a prize when a ball is popped out. Oh I missed thoy those
How about you guys?

When I was in my elementary days I was a perya goer. I loved doing that together with my peers. We would watch the gays dancing and singing while selling their various game of chances. I can't remember anymore the various games I was enjoying then. But now perya has been outdated and losing it's appeal because of the much modern ones like the Star City and my favorite Enchanted Kingdom. I always bring my twins there because their Mother is working there so there are always free tickets for the family.

I wish you are part of the family. They make sure free tickets are being used by family members only otherwise they'd suspect the employees of selling the tickets! They caught some employees doing that and they were suspended.

My parents used to take us to fairs when we were little. It was such a treat for us and we had loads of fun trying out the rides. I don't play any of those games though, and at our age then, my parents definitely wouldn't have allowed it. My favorite ride was the the merry-go-round LOL, the safest and most boring of all the rides, but I love horses! I think I've tried the octopus, but I'm not sure if I ever got to ride the caterpillar. My mom wouldn't let us ride the ferris wheel though, because she thinks it's too dangerous, and the horror train too-- this was a definite no no! I really miss them, but I don't think I'll be going to the fair any time soon. A few months ago, there was a fair right in front of the mall, but as much as I liked to look at the rides from the outside, I didn't really feel the urge to go in and try them out. I think things have changed too. We have a lot of nieces and nephews now, and I have never heard any of my cousins taking them to the local carnival.

I used to love to go to local carnivals when I was younger. I enjoyed the games, food and the rides. I really do not enjoy it now that I have grown older though.

Games are one of the basic needs of life. Every one likes to enjoy their life. They do it by playing different types of games. We used to play our fold games in our childhood. Tib karibba, kabaddi, and many such folk games were parts of our daily life. We do not get chance to play them in our busy life now. The games you are asking about are strange to us. We are living across the water and we are not aware of your local games. But I think games could never be confined in a region. Games are games and nothing more than games.

It's so fun.. lol =D I like those rides as it's exciting.. hehe ^_^ BUt too bad, it does not happen as often here in singapore.. MAybe it's only once or twice a yr.. lol =D IN the past, we used to have a place for all these rides and games, but due to poor business, and it's too expensive, the place closed down.. Since then, i had not played any of those games and i do really miss them to some extend.. hehe

I really love going to the carnival and just ride all the rides that i want and play so many games and won some stuff or money..But now that I'm already old, I don't go already in the carnival because we don't have time already and I feel boring already especially now that I'm in other city, i don't go to the carnival since i ever I'll go there I'm going all by my self and I don't enjoy it..

Hi ya pehpot
I used to love going to the fair when I was younger and my mum would go crazy because me and my brothers would always come back with a goldfish that we had won and she would have to find something to put them in until we got a proper tank and then they would live too long after that!! The fair came to our town earlier this year because it is so expensive now and I am a single mum with 3 kids and can't afford it. I would rather not take them rather than pay for them to have one go and that's it. It would be like dangling a carrot in front of a donkey and they would get upset because they would want to paly more!

There is nothing like the smell, sound, lights and excitement a carnival brings. As a child these were very special times for me.

I miss going to the "perya". It's a long long time since ive'd been there. I love the color game and the tossing of the 25 centavo coin. I still remember that I won a price which is a small plate and a small bear. Maybe if I encounter one perya I'll be excited to be there again.

When I was younger, I used to go visit the carnivals because the place was full of fun and enjoyment. I went there together with my parents and we liked to watch the amazing stunts of the people performing the show. I missed it very much because we really bonded a lot. Here in the city, they don't have like that in here.. Sad!
