Which form of medium do you prefer to read?
Why do you choose that medium?
For students like me, the online version of news is very reliable in terms of having your data fresh and faster than the print version but the good side about print version is that I can bring it anywhere even on places without the access to technology.
Newspapers on print is:
-old school
-very reliable. It takes almost one day for the editing, fact verification and revisions.
-a very good way of exercising your grammar skills. check what's wrong (if there is) on grammar and captions.
Newspaper online is:
-very fresh. It comes out first, than the print version.
-research is not a problem online. You have to just type the subject in your google box and tadaaa, results come very fast.
Now tell me, what are the other things that you observed in the newspapers both print and online? The advantages and disadvantages.

For me it primarily print media. It is not always possible for me to be online so the newspaper is the way that I find out what is happening in the world. Also with print media, the news is generally covered more indepth and I can find what I want to know without a lot of searching.
The news in the print media/newspaper might not be as instantaneous as on the internet but generally there is more background. Plus of course, as you say, the print media is well researched, the facts are verified and revcised before it is printed. Newspaper editors are very careful what they print as there is a very strong chance that they will be sued if they print the wrong thing.
When I am online I do scan the news and sometimes pick up something that might not be in the newspaper. When that happens it is more likely to be an event that has happened in another state or even another country. The internet news might not actualy be verified before it is available for people to read. That of course can lead to incorrect information being given out to readers.
There is a place in this world for being able to access the news both via the print media (newspapers) and also the internet. Like all things that we read, we have to sift through it and make our own decision as to whether the information is factual or not.

I choose print. Yes the one online is fresh but they will still put it in print somehow. And the reason why I like the printed one is that I have no computer at home so I can't check it out for always. It is both reliable.

Hi mskzalameda,
It is definitely the newspaper print for my daily dose of news. I just like the feeling of holding the paper and reading it lol.
But the online version is good too and you can get from more sources easily and see more up to date news by the minute.
Cheers!

Im going to say online. Not just newspapers but yes all those gossip magazine are online with the articles. Why spend 4 bucks at the market?
It eliminate clutter so my vote is for online all the way.

A printed paper, of course! My day wouldn’t begin the same way otherwise. The very smell of crisp new paper alongwith my cup of hot tea makes my day start. On public holidays when the newspaper office is closed, there’s no paper the next day and that males my real grumpy. No question of online paper.

Previously I prefer online because I am online most of the time. Online are especially useful if you are doing research. Nowadays, I prefer print copy. At least I can "move" the print copy around. I read newspaper for news and not so much for research.

Hi mskzalameda,
I am a student also. For me,definitely Print media is more important. It is like a daily routine of going through all those news papers and I just cannot help it.I think that online news are also very important but it is still in the growing process. If you do not believe me then just check that how many people actually read online newspaper compared to print newspaper.

Preferably for me, I will either catch up with what is going on via the Internet or watching the 11 p.m. news. Because most of the time, when you see the News via the Newspaper it is outdated, and things have usually changed some or been updated since then. Since I enjoy the News, and prefer it Fresh for me anyway I can get it more as it is happening is what works best for me for sure.

I prefer online over print. The newspaper used to be delivered to my home and the ink always bothered my nose. The smell was too strong for me. For that reason alone I would rather read any news online, though I do miss the comics that came with the newspaper.

i prefer online paper cos i can make use of their content more easily and when i need to send info to friends or to inform my friends about something. i have been using online paper for some time now and i like it cos it is also environmentally friendly and easy to manage unlike the physical papers where u still have to find a place to store them neatly. the online paper def. have more pros than cons over the print paper
