I will not be traveling over seas. Not any time soon. I still have more than have of my country to explore yet. Lol.
THis year will be just my immediate family. No stress, no drama, no worries of in laws starting crap.

I am young and just want to explore as much of the world as I can, and it does not help that I live in tiny Singapore, but I couldn't agree with you more, that during special occasions like this holiday season, spending time with your closest family is all one could ask for!

I am really keen on traveling and so even though the economic crises is here I am still going to go off traveling because it is my favorite topic. I suggest looking around at different airfares before booking a trip. I rang a travel agent that is for independent travelers and the adult fare was alright but the infant fare was very high indeed. I looked at the websites of all the airlines that fly directly from London to Cape Town and found a great offer on one of the airlines. I know that getting a good travel guide book is essential so I can get the best economical accommodation. Again travel insurance varies so it is worth shopping around for that. Full time students can get an International Student Identity Card. In my younger days I stayed in backpacker hostels and met many travelers from all over the world. The price of a bed in a dorm is always cheap. I am going to Cape Town in January with my toddler son. Happy traveling.

Thanks for the advice! I've only really travelled to perhaps, three countries so far, so I'm not really seasoned traveller, and any tips and information that I could gather on how to make a holiday a really enjoyable and worthwhile experience would be invaluable! I wish you a happy holiday season, and an enjoyable trip to Cape Town this January!
