If you were homeless or even if you are about to be homeless, what would you do?

probably do something to get thrown in jail so I'd at least have shelter and food, then try to get on work release so I could work of the day and make some money but still have a place to sleep at night. Save some money up so I could get an apartment when I got out and start rebuilding my life from scratch. Sad thing is I've already done it once before when I was young and first out on my own.

I would first find a job so that way i may have some money to live off of and when I get my first check I will find somewhere to stay until I can save enough money to be on my own. Thats what friends are for. to help you when you need it the most.

I have been in this Boat before, and being Homeless is not a good thing. Now I try and do what I can at all costs to avoid this situation, and wish there was a way I could help more people to be able to fall in this situation. Especially women with children who have just come from an Abusive situation. I know I have friends now that I could count on if I really had too to help me as well.

Finding a job is very important in order to avoid being homeless. In some cases, a person may have to work two jobs to make ends meet now a days.

Yes, a very good point as well if you don't have any family or friends in the area.

I have never thought of this, and don't want to think about it. It's too depressing...

I was homeless many years ago when I was married. Could be one reason for the divorce?...LOL We ended up going to a family shelter and the first day I cried on the phone to my mom. Once I got used to it I found it not so bad, but I still wanted my own home. We were there for 5 weeks before my exhusband got a job as a building supt., so we got an apartment rent free.

I would just kill myself. I don't think I can live by myself without any source of food, shelter and seasonal clothings.
