I wish the star system would go away...

I knew that I was approaching my 100th review yesterday and was nervous about getting to it, because I knew my rating star would finally show up. Well, when it did... It was an 8. I wasn't thrilled, but it wasn't too bad. So I proceeded to answer some more questions, because I was told that it helped more with your ratings, than posting discussions for others to read. I woke up this morning and it dropped to a 7. That hurt!!!
I guess some folks low rated me and that's what made it drop. It must not take much for one's rating to drop. However, this is the kind of stuff that will ruin my motivation to continue to post. Some sites that I am a part of...I seem to soar to the top and I am considered the cream of the crop! Then there are a few like this one, where I am at best...average.
I am the same person on all the sites. Yet I hit it big on one site and I fumble on another. Go figure...

This Star represents our reputation on MyLot . As you rightly said it , this is
based on other user's ratings given to our posts (+)(-)(!) . I also feel that
this system should be removed . or MyLot should appoint a group of the honest
members here to take care of the discussion ratings (DRS) . that is to say that
other members should not be able to use the (+) (-) links .

With the new changes coming into affect, and Mylot taking away the pay structure the star system will be surplus to requirements, so hopefully that will go too. We just need to wait to see what happens. But yesterday at the announcement of this news there was a lot of upset amongst Mylot members.
