Hi, i have read this article awhile ago and i think this will help you a lot. Check this out: " There are many reasons that a dog owner may end up having to hand fed a newborn pup. Sometimes the mother will die during the delivery, she may get mastitis (milk fever), or she may even reject her own pups. When any of these things happens, it is up to you to make sure that the pup or pups is able to survive. There are several good puppy milk replacement formulas that you can buy at your local pet store or even Walmart. however, these can be very expensive especially if you are feeding a large liter. It is very easy and cost efficient to make a replacement formula for your pups using ingredients you probably already have around the house. Here are couple different recipes that you can make at home:
1. 1/2 cup evaporated milk (never use whole milk, it can cause diarrhea and dehydration).
1/2 cup boiled water-cooled
1 tsp of karo syrup
1 tablespoon of plain yogurt
1 drop of a pedriatic multivitamin
2 raw egg yolks
2. 1 cup of goat milk
2 egg yolks
2 tsp of karo syrup
1 drop of pedriatic multivitamin
Mix all the ingredients well and use immediately or refrigirate for up to two days. Be sure to dispose of all leftovers after this time. you can add the special mixture to a special puppy bottle for most breeds, or use a regular human baby bottle for many large breeds. Hope this helps!

mods196621,
Milk Replacer Formula:
* 10 oz. evaporated milk (whole fat or part skim -- do not use all skim) or goat's milk
* 3 oz. sterilized water (baby water or boiled water) -- delete if using goat's milk
* 1 egg yolk (raw)
* 2 Tablespoons regular mayonnaise (optional)
* 1 cup whole fat yogurt (whole fat or part skim -- avoid all skim)
Place all ingredients in a blender and mix (or use a wire whisk) till well blended. Use all formula within 7 days.
Warm formula to puppy body temperature before feeding. Always discard formula leftover at a feeding. This formula is thick and so is best administered by stomach tube. If using a bottle, you may need to enlarge the hole slightly. It provides 11 calories per cc.
Weak Puppy Booster
This formula is meant to be used on newborns who are chilled, weak or otherwise compromised. This formula should be administered every 1-2 hours (or more often) by stomach tube and the puppy should be warmed slowly. Once the puppy begins to maintain a normal body temperature, regular feeding can resume.
NEVER FEED A CHILLED PUPPY MILK REPLACER.
8oz. lactated ringers solution or sterilized water
1 tablespoon white Karo syrup or white sugar (do not use honey)
OR
Substitute plain, unflavored Pedialyte
Mix ingredients and warm to body temperature. Preferred administration is stomach tube (to ensure correct dosage). Feed 1/2 cc per 2 oz. of body weight once per hour. If puppy is very weak, you may half the dosage and feed twice as often. This formula should be followed up with milk replacer as soon as the puppy is maintaining normal body temperature. This formula should not be fed exclusively for more than 8 hours.

I think there is a kind called Tiny Tiger that can be bought at Target or wal-mart in the pet foods section. You might try looking at a pet supply store such as Petsmart, though, and asking someone who works there. better do it fast, though! They need to eat soon after they are born!

actually i don't have much idea about these but as far as food is concern for puppies I think that their mothers milk would be the best
As far as other animal milks is concern I heard that all animal milk has some lactose in it .. co's milk ,goat's milk ,dog's milk...,
and I also heard that dogs are lactos intolerant float around a bit, so if puppies can drink their mother's milk m they are not lactose intolerant.
Goat's ,milk is also fine and can be Ideal .. dogs loves it :-)
Soy milk can be allerginc for dogs and those who aren't digest it very well at all
hope these info help you ,Cheers :-)
