It takes quite a while for a star rating to increase or decrease. From what I understand, it is based on ow many + and - you receive and there is a system in place that will not count multiple ratings from the same member if the rating is done in a short period of time from one another. One thing I know is that a member's star rating (reputation) is factored into the earnings calculator so keep posting those quality posts and before you know it, you star rating will be increased .

Oh i see,but i rather dont have many friends over here to increase my star ratings by adding an extra + for me,and i dont think people over here would be that cruel to add - for any one.i dont understand how the members star rating is factored in to the earnings calculator..can you explain me about that briefly..

The good thing is that someone doesn't necessarily have to be a MyLot friend in order to rate someone, so the best thing to do is find some discussions that interest you or that you can contribute to and start posting. This way, members will see that you are contributing to that discussion and rate you a +.
As for the earnings question, MyLot just states that member's reputation is factored into the earnings calculation, they don't specify the exact calculation. I've received from 1-3 cents per post so I'm thinking that it is a small percentage towards earnings.

Ok rjbass but a number of users from mylot have told to me that my star ratings actually contribute to my earnings, but i dont know how far it is true..and you have mentioned that you are getting from 1 cent to 3 cents per post but in the mylot conditions itself they have given that we get paid only 1 cent per post..can you please explain me about that..
