In our life at many instances where we come across such moments ,whether to do it or not. In such situation the best method to come to conclusion is to write in detail pros and cons of the task in seperate sheets, weigh the pros and cons and then decide.

I think that we must have good mental apptitude to make a decision in critical moments.
It requires great amount of patience to do so .
We must act smartly in critical situation instead of getting nervous in such a situation.

That's how Abraham Lincoln use to do it! In sales world it's called the Abraham Lincoln Close - and it's used when a prospect is on the fence about making a buying decision. The salesperson takes a blank sheet of paper, draws a line in between and together they come up with all the reasons & benefits to buy the product/service. Then he allows the prospect to fill out all the reasons not to buy. In the end if the Pros outweigh Cons then the prospects feels confident that they can move forward and make a smart decision to do business! As we very well see, this decision technique has proven to be effective in both personal and business issues.

Hi and welcome to the incredibly MyLot community. I agree with your idea and to add to it i would say after you have written down your action you can go back and reavaluate the tasks carefully. You can even discuss it with a confident to get another point of view.
