Creating your Own Website

I just have a question and maybe a mylotter out there in the world can tell this novice computer user how to create their own web site for free? There's a business idea I have and before I invest any money into it I want to see what the interest in it would be. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

In Some websites you can get it a free website now im working hard in my lot to buy a domain and have it my own website , hope so i will get it very soon ;). Hope you will have a nice day and a good week. Bye bye ;)

Go Daddy! - Go Daddy will sell you a domain name for a VERY reasonable price. Go to www.godaddy.com to get your now!
To get a domain name, go to www.godaddy.com . That just gives you the name though, you're going to have to make the webpage yourself. Front Page is pretty easy to use so you might be able to use that. Good luck and.... Happy MyLotting!

try utilizing free websites first. they have instructions that are easy to follow and understand. use this first before investing in a domain name, especially if the free site cannot accommodate too much traffic! :)

Try Yahoo Geocities. I used that when I first started out on the internet. http://geocities.yahoo.com/ All you need is a Yahoo ID (also free). They even have online tools to help you create the website pages. The major thing about getting a "feel for how much interest there would be" is how to get your site seen. This is where most people find it hard to NOT spend money. But there are many search engines that allow you to submit your site to their directory for free. While this does not guarantee you the top positions or even first page listing, if you continue to resubmit your site regularly, and enter keywords that are very pertinent to your site, you will get seen eventually. Try this for submitting your site to search engines (used to use it a long time ago - I think it's still ok, although it has changed hands): http://www.scrubtheweb.com/abs/submit/index.html And if you ever feel up to improving your site, check out Webmonkey. It has tutorials on web development. http://www.webmonkey.com/ Good luck! And feel free to post other questions about website creation if you have any.
