I've just recently read about this in a book i've just bought yesterday. Do u know that the longest name in the world for a place is
Taumatawhakatangihangaoauauotameteaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu
Its the name of a hill in New Zealand which translates to
"The summit where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, the climber of mountains, the land-swallower who traveled about, played his nose flute to his loved one."

Yes, I know about that longest word for a place thingie. Think I've heard about it from an insanely insane classmate of mine who has a thing for long words but I've never heard of the translation. That really deserves the name. Such a long word...! Thanks for sharing that information with us, fellow MyLotters!

I already read this longest word from Money saver magazine. It was even asked in the game show portion of the now defunct Magandang Tanghali Bayan, via ABS-CBN. I was so amazing how they got that loooooooongest name in the world!
That tongue twisting name translated in English, I guess is a maori term, an aborigine tribe of New Zealand. I doubt it if that hill was featured in the Lord of the Rings triology?not quite sure.
