In the last litter my brothers cat had there is a mute kitten. I had never seen or heard of this before. When the kitten goes to meow its barely even a squeak. It kills be that we wont be able to keep the kitten. My bro already has three cats, and were he lives there is also four dogs, there isn't any room for another one. I can't have the kitten because there are no pets allowed where i live. I am worried about the kitten because he is going to need a special home with someone special to take care of him. Would you adopt a mute kitten? Have you ever seen/heard a mute kitten??

i would take peep mouse and peace but i got too much crap going on with giddy.. this is the reason i always got my pets fixed.. if they ever had litters i wouldnt be able to give any of them away in fear they might get hurt etc

Only two of our animals are fixed and ironically its the two females. How unfair is that. We have never really had money to get out animals fixed, so i am used to them procreating then having to get rid of the babies. The hard part for me is when my family starts naming them. Its makes it more personal and hard to get ride of them. I would take Boo(then one you call peep mouse) or Disa in a heart beat if i could have animals. Especially Disa sense my mom bottle feed that one when Lollipop refused to nurse, but lucky after Disa was bottle feed a couple of times Lolly took her back.

They could just be quiet.. I had a cat that never meowed.. we thought she didn't have a voice until she went in to heat. Then we knew she had working vocal chords.
then one day when I had forgot my house keys I had to break into my apartmnet by climbing thru the window. And she Meowed at me (she was probably scared and didn't know what was going on) and that was the first meow I ever heard out of her in years.
I only heard her meow one other time after that.
so some cats just might not have a lot to say....

The thing is he tries to and it sounds like a mix of a squeak and when a person gasps for air.

I wouldn't worry about it.. All cats have different voices and sounds..
I can tell almost all of mine apart from their meow or lack of with out even seeing them.. and there is over a dozen in my house.. it will just give her character....
