just about everyone knows how important it is to set goals. without a clear goal in mind it can be all but impossible to achieve what we want in our work and our personal lives.

I agree with you. It is impossible to succeed without a clear goal. But according to my experience our action is more important than a goal. Sometimes we have set a goal, but we do not put in into practice, resulting in failure. In a word, we should act without delay, when we decide what to do or set a goal for our future.
