I have several credit cards but I already cancelled some of it. I only maintained two. I use it whenever we go to the supermarket and malls. It is more convenient to use than having a huge amount of money in your wallet.

If you are an extravagant spender you'd need to learn to hold back. Credit cards can be a disaster because they give the feeling that you have money when you don't. Cheers~

Yes, I agree. That is why people get high due amounts sometimes.

I have no any credit card. maybe credit card is convenient sometime, but I think if you only buy a little goods, it is better to pay in cash, many times, when I go to the supermarket and or mall, we can find some people stand in front of us, only buy a goods which only cost several yuans, but they use a card!! it take so many time!! and leave many people waite and waite behind them. so I think it is better to take along with both credit card and some cash.

Yes, credit card companies are sometimes having technical difficulties so you won't be able to use it.

I also had a few credit cards before, and I wanted to cancel them, as I'm using my husband's supplementary cards now, so that we can share the points for redeem easily. We like to use credit cards whenever we can, as I do not like to carry much cash with me. Sometimes, those small changes (coins) are annoying too.

I don't have one and don't have plans to get one. I'm not an extravagant spender and I know how to handle my money. I just buy the stuffs which I need and if ever I see a stuff that I want to buy but don't have enough money. I just take time to earn money to buy that stuff.

But sometimes, having a credit card is helpful especially when you are not that liquid.

No, I don't but I'd like to have one. :D As opposed to using it when going out, I would use it primarily to make online purchases in stead -- with reliable shopping sites, of course. Also, so I can use it abroad... LOL

Hi, I too had 3 cards from ICICI,Standard Charted,Hdfc. I have surrenderd 2 cards currently i have only hdfc. When you have a card you dnt see hoe much intrest your going to get 2mrw. Its a slow poison. It will make a person happy or make him shapeless. we have to be careful on the cards.

I think you will not be charged any interest if you pay your due amount on or before its due date.

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. Credit cards are like technology and power. It isn't necessarily evil, but it's how a person uses it that defines whether it's good or bad. We should exercise discretion and prioritization when it comes to credit cards.

I have three active credit cards and i used to purchase things using each of them. I had the happiest moments buying things since I really felt my purchasing power growing stronger and stronger. Now I realized these credit cards have lured me into a trap and found myself running the rat race. I never enjoyed my monthly salaries since I allot most of them paying my credit card debts. Now I'm two thirds away from completing my mission, paying all of my credit cards and controlling myself using them again. I hope I become successful with this.

I have only a bank Visa Debit card that I use as an checking card. When I use it, the money gets deducted from my checking account. I don't have any other credit cads besides this one.

Hi there maroseqf. I only have 1 card and if i think about it it is actually a saving account with a card so i couldn't really say it's a credit card. I keep it as i have an easy access to my money and the interest is 8,25% per year.

I got myself a credit card for the same reason. I have a Mabuhay Miles Visa from HSBC. It comes in handy when I have to buy something and the amount is too big to carry around and pay in cash. Instead, I use the card to purchase the item then use the money I saved to pay it off in its due date. Sure, there's a little surcharge involved but as long as you pay it off in full in one month, it's insignificant.

I think if you pay your due amount on or before its due date, there are no additional charges. You only pay the prize of the item credited to your card.
