quantum of solace

Honestly, I am not a big Bond fan to begin with. The only reason I saw this movie was because someone else was paying for it. That said of the, maybe, 5 bond movies I have seen this was the best. I liked that it didn't really follow the "bond formula". To me that's what makes the other movies boring. But, again, I haven't seen all the other movies so I am not exactly an expert on the topic. Nevertheless, I liked this movie and will probably watch it again.

I had a few problems with Quantum of Solace. It's not your quintessential Bond movie. If you like the old movies with Roger Moore or even Sean Connery, then you probably won't like this one. There is so much action that it is very hard (for me) to follow the story line. The plot just didn't seem to be there. It just doesn't follow the simple Bond Formula. In case you are wonder what the Bond Formula is, it goes like this:1. Introduce bad guy 2. 007 intro and credits 3. Bond is doing something naughty (depends on the movie) 4. Bond and M discuss mission (plot start) 5. Q shows off new gear 6. travel to mission 7. Car chase 8. Bond and bad guy meet for the first time (action sequence) 9. Bond and bad guy meet for the first time again (dialog sequence) 10 Bond meets girl (often a dialog sequence) 11. Bad guy takes girl away 12. Bond saves girl (action sequence) 13. M yells at Bond 14. Roll credits. Quantum of Solace starts in the middle with the car chase, and ends with the 007 intro. It's just that all the action sequences seem to be strung together without enough dialog to back them up.

I have never seen any of the bond movies, so i cant say if its boring or not, but i have seen the shorts and adverts and it just dosnt seem to interest me...

I saw this movie last saturday at the imax and I thought it was pretty good. Im nut nuts and dont like the new bond especially after seeing casino roayle since I always hated that movie I never got into it. But This movie was deffintley good even though it didnt feel like a bond movie since there was no gadgets or fancy cars but other then that I liked it.
