They are planning on doing a reunion tour in the states. But Robert Plant has said repeatedly he's not going to do it. Steven Tyler was seen rehearsing with them but apparently they have they're mind set on someone I have never heard of. Now I'm sure the place wouldn't be empty, I'm sure a lot of people would go. I wouldn't. would you?

i love Robert Plant's vocals and it would be hard to imagine a Led Zeppelin song without it.
that said, Steve Tyler is my favorite male vocalist and i'm sure he could tear up a Led Zeppelin song.
but you mention they're looking at some no name singer so i guess it would depend on who it is......although it would be worth it just to see Jimmy Page shred on guitar.
my only problem would be i live in Las Vegas and any time a big act like that comes into town they charge the left hemisphere of your brain for tickets.
oh well, we can always look forward to the concert DVD that would be sure to follow.

I don't think I would want to go. A band can change sure, but one so legendary as Led Zeppelin? It just would not be the same without Robert Plant's amazing vocals. I have never heard anyone else sing like him, so it seems an unlikely voice to match. Although Steven Tyler has awesome vocals, he's not part of the Zep. It is a good point though that seeing Jimmy Page shred would get me totally stoked too. It's a tough choice really. Like my favorite band is The Doors, but I just don't think I would go to one of their concerts because they literally replaced Morrison. Anyway, good topic. =]
