Hello MyLotters from other countries! *wave *wave *wave
Does in your country also have lots of public internet shops?
How do you guys go online, through a personal compute, by renting in a shop or using your ever-portable laptop?

Malaysia used to have many cyber cafes (always referred to as 'CC') for people to go online or play games. With an increase in broadband connection there is a drop in the number of CCs. To a person who spends more than 20 hours a day on the Internet, having a broadband connection is a cheaper option.
I used to go to a CC to go online but now have a broadband connection at home, shared by two PCs and up to 5 laptops.

A lot of Americans have there own computer you can also find them in public libraries and or schools if you don't have one at home. We have a few internet cafe but they are not as popular as they are in other parts of the world from what I hear.

Here in the United States what you're referring to are called "internet cafes" and they're fairly uncommon and a bit on the expensive side. Most people have internet in their homes, and there is free or paid wifi in many public places. I have heard that internet cafes are a very common way to get online in Latin America, though. I guess one of the reasons they're not common here is that internet in the home can be very cheap, about $10 a month, and is very convenient.
