Is anyone considering requesting toys from Toys for Tots or another organization this year? I am. I was feeling really guilty about it, but I'm so poor this year, and my daughter's father isn't in the picture and isn't paying child support. I just want my daughter to have a nice christmas. I'm not saying she has to have a pile of toys under the christmas tree, but 2 or 3 things to open would be nice. She doesn't understand being poor, she's a kid! Anyone else in the same boat?

I dont see anything wrong with it if you need it. That is what it is there for. Do what you can for your daughter. I think it might lift a lot of stress off you as well and let you enjoy the season too. Merry Christmas.

I have been in your situation before and I know how it feels. It's hard when you have little ones and they are to young to understand. That is the whole reason Toys for Tot's is there. Please don't feel bad about it, you just want your little girl to have a happy Christmas. I hope everything works out for you and your little girl.

Im sorry for your hardship. I dont have any kids so no im not in the same situation. However I make such little money at my job im thinking about requesting food stamps. I think that if you need the program you should do and dont feel guilty. Im sure you are a great mother, and your doing whats right for your little girl. So dont fret, we all have trouble sometimes, just keep your head held high. Im sure your daughter will thank you for it.

I have already donated to toys for tots and to the st. judes hospital. I will probably donate a little more if I can before Christmas. Even if its just a dollar or two it really helps. I understand that money is tight this year. I have three kids to buy for. good luck. Happy Thanksgiving.
