how to gain traffic?

Autosurf definitely would not work as people do not really want to visit your blog but they are only there to surf. As for me, I have driven traffic to my blogs via few ways. The first is to look for a good traffic exchange site and the best that I have used so far is Entrecard (http://entrecard.com). If you have an English blog with no pop ups and auto playing music, you can be part of their network and you are guaranteed to get real visitors or traffic to your blog. The other thing that you can do is to join all those social networking sites such as Blog Catalog, Blog Log, Facebook, etc and promote your blog there. On top of that I always submitted my blog entry to some local content aggregators here as well as to social bookmarking sites such as Digg, StumbleUpon, Yahoo! Buzz and a few others. Lastly, make sure that you have some good contents to go along with your blog as without a good content, people would not come back... Hope that have give you some ideas where to get your traffic. Normally I do involve in some Forums and insert my blog url at the signature..but you have to be actived in forums so that people know you're exist. Other than that, you can comment on others' blog too, I believe the blog owner will visit you back as well. You can also submit your blog to some blogs directory or submit your article to some article submission site. All of these can help you to improve your blog traffic too! =)

Obviously the most important thing you can do is to have good content. To drive traffic to your content, try connecting with other bloggers who are writing about the same or a similar subject. Visit their blogs and write comments (you can use StumbleUpon to find them), then you will encourage people to come take a look at your blog. By forging good relationships with other bloggers and sharing out some links, you can get good links back and people will read and point to your articles to supplement theirs.

Become a free member in businessworldlist.com and promote your blog to 75,000 people everyday. Write to other bloggers for reciprocal links to your site. Leave comments on other blog & add a link to your blog at the bottom. When you paticipate in social networking sites/forums always leave a link to your blog at the bottom. submit articles to helium.com or articlebase.com mention your blog details at the bottom of your blog attract traffic to your blog. Of course all this will work only if the content is good.
