Family is more important or friends?

hmm let`s say i am in a boat and somehow both my child and best friend fell in the water and none knows how to swim. Of course, I am going to save my child first. Yes my friends are important to me but I can`t give up my family. If a woman has a husband and her children, the choice is easy. Unless her husband is abusive and her children don`t give a crap about her.

In my life I have to say I would choice friends. My family is so screwed up the ones I'm close to I call them my friends not my family. So it works for me. In all honesty I consider my family to be 2 of my sisters, mom, dad, my son and my boyfriend and his two kids. Everyone else in my biological are by marriage family are just relatives. Yes that does include my 4 brothers and the other 5 Sisters. It's just the way I like to define my family. Happy Thanksgiving

Well they say we can choose our friends, but cannot choose our family, but I think family is very important as they will always be there for us. If I have to answer that question it would always be family for me, but I am lucky to have a really good one and most of my friends are my family.

My family is way more important. You have your whole life to make friends and they come and go, but your family is forever.

from day to day interactions... friends are more important... however when you get down to it family will ride for you.. and maybe even die for you. the old saying is tru.. blood is thicker than water.
