Skipping Break-fast

Hello everyone here Ji, I am sure some of us do skip break-fast due to multi-factors everyday, but Doctors view it very seriously. One may skip kowingly OR un-knowingly at young age, but at old age, many diseases crop up, and it is always advisable to have break-fast everyday, may be fruits/Juice/biscuits. After total consumption of your energy, after your sleep in the night, it becomes mendatory to have something before we start for day's work. Please do share your views . Have a great time.

I do not believe in missing meals. I will only skip breakfast if I sleep in too late in the morning and then I will have an early lunch instead. When I was working, I never left the house without having breakfast and I am puzzled how some people can not find the time. It does not take long to prepare and eat a bowl of cereal but it is good and it gets you through until lunch. If I had the time I would have crumpets, yum. I never bothered with coffee until I got to work. Now days I still eat cereal for breakfast and have fruit juice as well. The fruit juice wakes me up.

skipping breakfast is just a consequence of having a busy life. it will be ok.

Hello my dear mchairston Ji, I do agree with you because of busy life, but I am talking about B'fast, where no one is busy earlier except for taking rest, so it is known as breaking fast. i wish everyone thinks and spares few minutes from that bust life and keep one healthy. may god bless you. have great time.

maybe what you meant was, breakfast is missed because there's no time to prepare breakfast... life is busy.. they sleep late and wake up late so instead of preparing something for breaskfast they prefer to rush to work... then it's not helthy yes... we have to remind ourselves that abusing ourselves will result to poor health and we will suffer the consequence in the future.... I hope we will realize that..:)

bad .... breakfast is the most important meal of the day ... if you skip it .. you will be sleepy all day and will not feel right and won't want to do any work and will be lazy :p hehe

I always have my breakfast every morning. I really dont like skipping breakfast and i would aways eat something even if it is just something little. I think its would be hard to conmcentrate on our skul or work if we would be skipping breakfast. Sometimes i even eat a lot in breakfast which causes my stomach to hurt, maybe because there are also times that i am really in a hurry to finish breakfast because i would be late from work. Back when i was still in high school, i just had a glass of milk everyday for breakfast and i think it was enough for me not to feel hungry until lunch time. I actually got used to drinking milk with my breakfast everyday before i go out of our house. I think at our young age it would be ok if we would be skipping breakfast if we could really not avoid it but we should always try to have something for breakfast if possible because it would really affect our activities when we go out of our home. For people who are elderly it is really not advisable to skip breakfast because as we grow older our body would require more nutrients to work properly. Anyways it would still be best to never forget to have our breakfast everyday. :)

Yes we must never skip breakfast in the morning time, because that is when you break your fast which you have been all night observing. I always prefer heavy breakfast and rest of the meals very light in amount. Doctors even advice us not to skip our breakfast, many problems arise only because people take less quantity or not at all during the day time and have heavy meals in the night time after which there is no work. when you take heavy breakfast, usually it gets digested very easily and if you take the same amount of quantity in the night time its very difficult for the body to digest and hence ends up in obesity or other problems.

Skipping Bf is not at all good idea. It can bring many health hazard. all doctors say it is the main meal. we should always take healthy breakfast.

"Eat like a king during breakfast...." This is just one part of an age-old wisdom about eating right everyday. Breakfast is just as important as your precious pet or expensive gadget. We kick start the day with enough energy to move around or talk a lot. Without proper breakfast habits, what energy is there for our body to stay healthy and active everyday? Of course, we can let the day pass without having breakfast to start our day. Yet, this is not a goof investment for living longer another decade or two. Indeed, everyone's better off if one can just at least have a glassful of milk cereal every breakfast. Don't SKIP breakfast folks!

I also think skipping breakfast is not good for health. I try not to skip breakfast. If I am late, I still will have breakfast. I usually have bread, milk, egg, juice as my breakfast. Eating breakfast not only good for health but give energy for the day.

It is so important to have at least a little something for breakfast. A pop tart or banana is all it takes to get your day off to a better start. You jumpstart your metabolism and give your brain much needed energy. I noticed that I am truly more effective now that I eat breakfast.

i think it is very important to have breakfast, i think for now in my life i haven;t skip it more than ten times, at least i will still grab something to eat if i am really busy like quick bread with milk. without it i will be not has as much energy and it is a good way to start a day.

Actually i cant eat breakfast..maybe i always skip my breakfast..so when i started working, i want take some breakfast, i got stomachache..in 1days i always keep going to toilet..i dont know why..? until now if i want take breakfast, i must take it after 10am everyday..

Hello my dear michaelnbc Ji, I think you go through all responses here itself and form a opinion , we have been knowing about three meals concept right from very begining 'Break-fast, Lunch, and Dinner', What that Doctor has to say for this, anyway, even if they are two, Break-fast must beincluded. may god bless you and have a great time.

I used to always skip breakfast, I never had the time, I guess I prefered to spend a little extra time in bed but when I heard someone explain that when you go to bed you sleep on the average of 8 hours and that is 8 hours with no food or drink so it is logical that it can not be good to go rushing off to work or school with out giving our bodies fuel...

Hi! I was never a breakfast person so I have difficulty taking breakfast without having stomach upset. Now that I am getting older, I have seen the importance of breakfast. I easily feel weak whenever I don't have at least a bite of something. So, I try to eat something, like a bit of fruit and bread before I leave for work in the morning. I am lactose intolerant so I cannot drink milk. I substitute this with black coffee or tea. Happy myLotting!

My Dear Friend Yes I totally agree with you, that breakfast is really very important . Sometimes we do skip breakfast due to many reasons. But skipping breakfast is not good for health . By eating breakfast we get enough energy to work harder . Happy Mylotting ! Take Care ! Ganesh !

Breakfast is important as you probably burn off your calories from an early meal as you are usually active afterwards. If you do not have any nutrition you get hungry later and go for the doughnut at coffee break or a heavy meal at lunch time because you are so hungry by then. I agree spacing smaller meals throughout the day seems more beneficial to me to keep my energy level up and then I do not get those highs and lows and because I do not drink caffeine I cannot use coffee to keep me going.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It not only gives you the energy that you need but it also kick starts your metabolism. If you skip it, your body still thinks that you are in resting mode and your metabolism will stay in that mode until you eat something or exercise. Even if you start your day exercising, you will burn more calories if you eat something first.

Thank you maygodblessu44, I haven't given it much thought lately (unknowingly). Some of us have been taking it for granted sometimes. But the human body could only take so much abuse. I'm already 40 and I usually have only a cup of coffee in the morning. Now common sense would tell me that its not a good habit. Thanks for the reminder. godbless :)
