Well now that it is winter, the heater is on, and in the night, my nose bleeds a little bit because of how dry it is. I think I'll start drinking more water, maybe put a bowl of water out to evaporate over night.
As a child, I bled a lot and my little sister every so often. I remember a kid or two bleeding at school to. At school too I learned the proper way to stop a nose bleed a long time ago where you actually bend forward and pinch your nose.
So what's your general experience or that you know of from family/friends about nosebleeding?

I have the same problem this time of year. It's just because it is so dry and my sinuses are already so sensitive. I get at least two nosebleeds a day this time of year. It sucks but I have tried everything and nothing seems to work for me. Actually there is one thing I haven't tried but I will. A friend of my told me to put two 'little dabs' of Icy Hot right above my upper lip and it will help. Something about irritating the sinuses to create more mucus or something. Good luck with your nose!

My sister and my dad are more prone to nosebleed. In my experience, I've had 2 major episodes. It usually happens wen it is sooooo hot. I get a headache and later I notice that my nose starts bleeding. I need to have a very cold shower to stop the bleeding. What I do is wet my head immediately hen lie down to rest for awhile.
