Chex Mix Pie Crust

I just finished making a pie for Thanksgiving that has a Chex mix pie crust. I had never heard of this before but you have to try it!
The recipe is for a Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie.
The filling is just cook and serve chocolate pudding (1 box) prepared as usual with 2 tablespoons of peanut butter added while it is still hot.
Just pour this into the pie crust and chill
The pie crust is 2 cups of chocolate Chex Mix (crushed) mixed with 2 tablespoons of butter melted and pressed into a pie pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 350
To finish it off microwave 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and drizzle ovet the top.
It is awesome!

Wow! That sounds totally deliciuos! I have never heard of Chex Mix being used for pie crust, but I don't think it would get soggy at all. I know I have a recipe for Chex Mix to make reindeer food with powdered sugar and some other stuff.
Where did you find this recipe? I am going to have to go out and buy the ingredients and try making this recipe this holiday season. We all love chocolate and peanut butter so I know it will be a big hit in this house. (Well, except for my husband - he hates both peanut butter and chocolate). I make apple pie for him instead.

I got it from a SOuthern Living magazine and the reindeer food you are talking aboutid greattoo. I usually make it for Christmas time! Good Luck and hope you like it!

That sounds interesting. A healthy pie crust too! I would try it with other pies too. Perhaps the cheesecakes that are made with cream cheese and cool whip!

Chex mix pie crust! That's the first time I've heard of it. Chex Mix isn't available in all grocery stores here in the Philippines, I'll try to check if there's one when I go out tonight :D

That sounds amazing fasttalker! I will definately have to give that a shot. I am an avid desert cooker.lol..It's something fun for me and my daughters to do on the weekends. My oldest daughter is a chex mix freak too. She'll really get a kick out if this.
