well because it's such a big dinner we tend to eat around 2pm or 4pm. I like it because it gives me time to digest it before dinner.
What time do you all usually eat thanksgiving dinner is is usually earlier or later than your normal dinner or on time??

Because I am single and have no kids, I am kind of set with whatever time the family I choose to join for dinner decides to have it.
If I go to my brother's house, his wife usually prefers to have a late dinner. It will be at least 6 o'clock before we eat.
If I go to my oldest sister's house, it will be around 2 o'clock before dinner is ready.
If I go down home to my mom's house, we eat early. My mom always gets up about 5 o'clock and starts fixing the turkey. So we could actually eat as early as 11 o'clock in the morning.
This year is an exception. I am living by myself, and my mom who is on her own now decided to come join me. I'm not sure what time we'll eat, because we are in a touristy area and since it is just the two of us, we are going to check out a buffet. So maybe early maybe late. In some ways it is nice for it to be so up in the air.
Thanks for starting this discussion, and have a great day!

I am going to my sons.....they have lunch with her folks and I will be to their house about 5pm....and that's about the time I usually eat. So it's not much different from anyother day.....However we are having a roast beef instead of turkey as they will be having that with all the fixings at lunch time.

dinner is usually eaten around 4 pm. this way people have enough time to eat and talk. then go home before it gets too late.
