What do you think of the many US citizens who are making it their goal to pull down, bad mouth, discredit the new President Elect.. He is after all the one the majority chose to be the president.
THere are certain things that just are poor taste..and to say anyone ..black or white is a 'waste of flesh' is really a slur that is untolerable by any moral human being..
No one however bad they are can be categorized a 'waste of flesh' and to see these words addressed to the newly elected president of the United States is a disgrace and intolerable..and I state this publicly and privately.

Well, You said it right, Obama is the "peoples choice".
We voted him in and the Republicans have gave us 8 years
of hell.
They need to quit showing their ignorance by "knocking Obama"
and start showing a bit of Patriotism.
Speaking of "a waste of", these last 8 years and this WAR is the biggest
waste I have seen in a long time.
Now that my eyes have been opened through this movie, http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ I am paying close attention to our current
President and just praying that he doesn't put us into a National
Disaster situation. No lie! Read todays news, after you watch those movies
and think!

Frankly your post seems rather hypocritical. You think that we need to show "patriotism" by not "knocking Obama". By your definition I guess you don't care to show any patriotism as you're knocking our current president.
We are Americans and are under no obligation to blindly support a president that 48% of us didn't vote for. Questioning our leaders is what makes us citizens rather than mindless sheep.

My opinion is still out as he hasn't been sworn in yet. The bad mouthing is going to happen just as it has happened with other presidents. You can't control peoples thoughts nor can one decide what kind of free speech there is.

Bad mouthing is one thing but saying that the president is a "waste of human flesh" ..or should I use the exact ratial connotation..we have freedom but all freedom has boundaries... No one deserves that type of talk ..

I am a Republican, I did not vote for Obama. BUT - he is now our President - Elect and so, I now throw my support behind him. It does not matter what my personal feelings are, and I may not always agree with him. But he will be our President.
Together we stand - Divided we fall.

Amen to that.. I was a Republican but switched but still put all my support behind outgoing President BUsh..I wouldn't even speak against anything he said..I think if we demean the office by our slurs it shows we are losing respect for what this country stands for.

I will pull down, bad mouth and discredit Prs. Elect Obama when he acts in a way that discredits himself or deserves badmouthing or pulling down. I will also uplift him, support him and give him credit when his actions warrant it.
What we make of ourselves is what we are. If we make a waste of our flesh then that is what we are.

Para you go on your way.. I don't make it my way.. I believe there are appropriate ways of doing things..Our language and actions tell others a whole lot about ourselves...
For you to stand in judgement of someone like you do..makes others think you think you are God..Who by the way is the only can say you are a "wast of .."
God, however, is more kind and merciful with his dealings of people and would much rather they be converted and saved.
Sometimes when we condemn others, we condemn ourselves.
You catch more flies with honey then vinegar is an old saying.
You have a lot of harshness in you.. perhaps you should consider meditation.

I never presumed to play God with Prs. Elect Obama. I merely stated my opinion of him. We can't possible vote for him or against him without judging him.

I find it disgusting. Whether or not we wanted Obama as our president...he was elected by the majority. He won it fair & square. It is time we band together and help him to do a good job. If we later discover that he was not all we thought he'd be...so be it...critisize all you want. Fact is, we have not even given the man a chance yet. He has such a huge job ahead of him that he needs all the support he can get. I do think his intent is good and that the negative people that are so intent on bashing him will be the most harmful to our country. I just don't get what all the whining and camplaining will do. seems kind of a waste of time really.

I am also with you 100%. This is just wrong. I havn't heard anything like that. I have been paying attention to his choices for his cabinet and I think he is doing a great job. I am sorry some people are so dimented to not even give the President Elect time to do his job before they start bad mouthing him. To bad their lives are so lacking in anything to do that they have to sink to this level.

hi littlefranciscan!
hmmm...i didn't know that such things are also happening in america. because a lot of the drama is already happening in my country.
anyway, i think that we should do everything to support the new president. if the country is united, i think the president can work better. but even if the whole country has cooperated and he still bungles up, at least, the responsibility is on him. and not the people who tried to pull him down.
i hope that america will become united. the people has spoken. or at least the majority. even the political enemy has conceded. why bother?
good day and God bless America!

Yes: it happens..
I know that if Mr. McCain got in ..I wouldn't create post after posts pulling him down..despite my desire for Mr. Obama to win..I would say as many heard said "the president of the United States is"
We owe it to our country adn to our President to strive to unite one another ...this backlash of words that continues to go on ..has nothing uniting about it.

Basing from the many post I heard and read in here and in the news I guess I can say it is happening and since this is the first time that America has voted differently. I am sad that there are still those that think like that in your country. I am seeing your country as slowly and painfully transforming into a good nation but there are just those that try to do otherwise.

I came to this country when Clinton was president. He has been bad mouthed even before the Lewinsky affair... Then Bush got it even worse especially towards the end now during the election period...
People have the right to criticize and disagree with the president and soon to be president. That of course doesn't mean it should be done through verbalizations such as the example you provided. Then again, that is how some people nowadays communicate. Foul words, bad language,.. it seems to creep in more and more into every day life and people seem to think it's okay. It doesn't surprise me that people use it to express their disgust/disagreement with the president elect.
Yes, it shouldn't be like that, but it's freedom of speech. I'm sure there are people who'll use worse phrases, even in public. The only way to combat that is to keep oneself to a higher moral standard and to simply not lend an ear to those people who think foul language is something that should be used. Lead by example;)

I would not use on my worse enemy the phrase "worthless use of ..." it's not kind, and surely not appropriate language to the President Elect or any President..
Indeed there have been a parade of presidents throughout history..some admirable..some not..but to make such public statements about someone is such a high place is risky.
We are a people who pride ourselves on selecting the President by majority.
WE do not have a President imposed on us..we cast a vote..We also as a people can depose a President..not in forums..but by due process.
Everything in order and in proper fashion.

THere are boneheads allover the place, and basically what people resort to when they run out of arguments is a personal attack. Look at all the things Bush has been called for the last eight years.
I think that there are just things that people won't agree on and those arguments will always devolve into personal insults For example:
"Destroying a viable fetus in the womb in Murder"
"No, it is a procedure"
"No, it is Murder"
"You are an Idiot"
"You are a Murderer"
Basically these are positions that you will never be able to win by a conversation. Someting lifechanging has to happen in one of the peoples lives to change their position.
In this case, raising Taxes into recession is something that conservatives will always think is a bad idea (But no one has every tried it on this level before so we can't know for sure)And Liberals will alway blame the big companies for the poverty on the low end. So incresing taxes on the high end always seems a good idea. No matter how much data these two sides throw at eachother the other never budges and it results in them just calling eachother idiots.

I think it's disgusting, to be honest, but I'm afraid we'll probably have to "get used to it" because there are some who didn't support Obama from the beginning for any number of reasons who will NOT give him a chance, will not give him any credit no matter what happens and will continue to badmouth him in the worst possible ways. We went through it with Clinton, but after he left and George W. Bush took office all of a sudden it was anti-American to criticize the President in any way; now the same people who attacked Clinton for eight years and beyond and worshiped Bush no matter what happened are going to be even worse towards Obama than they were to Clinton.
I think it's fine for anyone to criticize anyone in our government for what they actually do and what they stand for but these personal attacks and out and out lies are disgraceful and intolerable, just as you said. I'm afraid it isn't going to stop anytime soon, however.

Well the bad mouthing and such is typical after any race, especially a hard fought one like this. "Wast of flesh" is never appropriate, but you certainly can't be surprised that there are people who still don't like him. People said no shortage of nasty things when Bush was elected and they only stopped briefly after 9-11. Of course then you have the folks who think Bush masterminded 9-11 but I digress.
I didn't vote for Obama. I don't like him, and I don't believe he'll be a good leader. That said, I'd be an idiot if I really wanted him to fail. This is my country and what's good for my country is good for me. His success would make my world better and his failure would impact me negatively as an American citizen.

"Obama said there was a certain "segment" of society who would never vote for him no matter what he said. HUMMM...guess that would be you."
That's because he changed what he said on an almost daily basis. One day he said he would accept public financing, the next, he said he wouldn't. One day he said he would unconditionally withdraw all troops from Iraq within 16 months, the next he claimed it would be with the approval of generals based on conditions on the ground. One day he said nobody earning under $250K would see their taxes go up, then he changed to to $200K, and eventually Biden claimed it was $150K. So yes, Obama's words were useless as he could never keep his story straight. He has no record of lowering taxes, only raising them. It takes more than words to convince me who I should vote for. Actions matter.
"He continued to say he is not trying to please them or get their vote...you again."
No, that was a lie. He's been trying to please everyone since the race began. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just delusional. He wanted every vote he could get regardless of where it came from. Every politician does.
"It shouldn't be a suprise however since there is not a shortage of nasty things said by his supporters."
I agree with you completely. There are certainly no shortage of nasty things said by some of his supporters and you can count yourself among those people.
"By the way "digress" is really spelled "disagree"...Dummy."
No, the word is digress you freaking moron. Try using a freaking dictionary once in a while and you may reduce how often you make an a$$ of yourself.

I just hope these are not the same ones that were upset when liberal were upset with Bush, going as far as calling us liberals unamerican for going against the president. I also think it's sad that some conservative hate radio television gabbers are saying that all the states that Obama didn't win should become their own nation.
