Have you stepped on a white sand beach in the middle of the day without having that burning sensation on your feet? Have you walked miles and miles of a shoreline just for the fun of it? One of the most famous island in the Philippines boast for such beauty. It has sand as fine as sugar that is why it will not hold as much heat as other kind of sand. Everybody wants to go to Boracay when its summer time. Well, its summer time all year round.;-) But the official summer is around March to May. Walking around and brushing elbows with local and foreign artists is one of the exciting added benefit.;-)

The Philippines is one of the countries on my travel wish list. I haven't been there yet but I plan to in the future. I simply adore island hopping and snorkeling to see coral reefs and friendly fish. Boracay sounds like a beautiful destination with white sand beaches and gently waving palm trees. I would also visit less popular islands in the hope of finding less tourists. The people in the Philippines are really friendly so it would be great to meet some of the local people.

Just to add I have been to many tropical beaches in the Maldives, the Seychelles, French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, Samoa and Fiji.

If you want to go to a place with lesser tourists you can go to Panglao island in Bohol. A lot like Bora but lesser people. It has diving sites around the place and fish sanctuary. Bohol is a very nice place, you can also tour around aside from the white sand beaches.

I've been to boracay last year. Planning to go again next summer. I heard there's so many resorts and hotels now. Just wish they could preserve the beauty of the environment in boracay. Palawan is also good place to visit if you are into beaches.

The Bora I meant was short for Boracay which is located in the Philippines. Filipinos fondly call the place Bora. Yes, there is also Bora in Mexico.;-)

Yes, I went to Boracay last 4 years ago with my husband and kids. We all loved the place. The place is ideal for family bonding, relaxation, stress buster and even for movie shooting. It is nice that Boracay be features on television. But i hope the goverment will ensure the beauty of Boracay to last. I told my husband that it is my wish that we renew our wedding in our silver anniversary in Boracay. That will be 10 years from now. By that time, I hope, I could see you in Boracay.
