Hey, dear mylot friends. I have been feeling confused for a while, actually since I change my job and it's been 3 months. Yeah, not a very short period and I have been seeking for answers. But I failed.
Seems I am having a bottleneck. The new job pays high, but I don't like it and due to my old company had a tough time so I quit and get here. I also trying to find another one that I am interested, but there is not so many chances this year and also the year coming as the economy situation's so bad now.
So I am considering to continue my education as my degree is not high, just bacholar's degree. Should I quit my job and prepare for the postgraduate examinations? Or should I find a job that I like though it's hard now?
Share me your choices and give me some advices, thanks.

A very apt discussion for my present situation. I've been offered an appointment in a good company when I was doin my college,it's been 6 months since I got my degree and the company is yet to call me due to the economic crisis. I don't know ur nature of job,but then IT has been affected, now automobile and real estates are also being affected.. Feel dis is not the rite time to work,u can learn, equip urself more,by the time u complete ur studies things wud be on a better side. I don't know if I am giving u d rite choice. But feel dis is better for the present market situation. Think and decide dear. All the best!!

Hi savitha. Unfortunately I am in IT:( though our comapany is one of the few corps doing fine, the opportunity for me to get a new position is sliiim. If I go back to school, it would be 3 years for me and then I am out of the business coz my career will be taching in the university:) A brand new career for me. That why I am still lingering. Heehee, thanks for responding.

U are still young ^_^ Get back to education, as it can promise u better career prospect ^_^ Though within these few yrs, u will suffer abit, but it's gonna be worth it ^_^ A career is for life, and education doesn't stop when u start working.. So now, since u are not really happy with this current company, quit..
Use the time u are studying, to do a more thorough search on the kind of job u like, and it will be even better if it's related to your course of study.. IF not, it's ok too for, this degree can act as your back up one day, if u decide to go back to that same line again ^_^

If I were you, I wouldn't quit the job. I would go back to college part time, at nights or on the internet, and get a higher degree. I don't know what the economy is like in your country, but in my country if we have a job we hang onto it as long as we can because jobs are scarce!
Good luck to you!

Is it impossible to keep your job and continue your educations? If things get worse any job may be worth it. I don't know where you are located, but in the US things are going to get worse before they get better, a lot of jobs will be gone by this time next year. That is just my ideas.

Thank you for asking suggesion.I think if you could not cope with your present job then serch a better job. But before getting a better job don't quit the present one.Graduation is enough for getting a job. If you want to be a college teacher then you may prepare for the postgraduate examination.I think it will be better for you to acquire some technical knowledge. For this you need not to quit your job.You have to utilise your extra time. This will be helpful for you to get a better job.Wish you goodluck.

Wow, 'just bacholar's degree'..
Here where I am at, being able to finish college is already something like an edge when it comes to job applications but, as things are becoming competitive, I guess it is advantageous to get a higher educational attainment since it would also get you more in demand among employers and get you a position better than before.
If you could continue studying while working at the sides, would that be possible?

Hey, dear ratyz. I am so happy to read your response. I am also thinking about having education and work at the same time, but the thing is, my current job is really a turn off. I have beed unhappy with it for a long time and I am trying to quit. Hard for me, but I know I have to make a decision.

I wonder whether you can work and meanwhile finish your bacholar's degree. Here it's very normal that people who have works but they also study at night in the schools. It's possible to finish the degree even if you have a work.
Especially in these days the economy is becoming worse and nobody knows how long it will last. Many people lose the job. So if you have a good paid job right now, just keep it. Some people even can't find a good job even though they have good education.
I love China

Hey youless. Actually I have finished my bacholar's degree and I want to further education for postgraduate. It means three years and I have to stay at school coz I don't like to work and study at the same time and the quality of night classes here is not so good.
Thanks for responding:D

hi there, you just have to think about things carefully. if you can afford going back to school while you are not working that would be great but again you can always go to school and work at the same time, whichever will work best for you. just remember that finding the right job takes time and patience. Wish you well!!!!

Hey. I have been to my new job less than 3 months and I've figured out it's not my cup of tea. Finding the right job takes time and patience. Great reminding for me. Thanks.

Hi friend! why you should quit the job as inflation is going on it is difficult to get a good job. The studies can be done side-by-side. As you are a bachlor you dont have much tension about the house works or other family matters. You can carry on with your studies plus job i hope. Happy mylotting and have a nice day.

If I was in that situation, I will look my studies first and then the rest.... coz, if your qualification becomes higher and higher, one day or other you will get a good job.....

If you are not happy with your current job, you would really be doing your employer a favor by resigning. An unhappy employee won't be effective and productive. You will just be staying there because of the money. Been there done that! I could truly understand how you feel because i had experienced too. So I suggest, the you pursue your education if you could really afford to, if not, then I suggest you find a job that you would really love to do.

Hi friend! You can carryon with your job along with te studies as most of the people are doing here in Mumbai. As they work they join for any studies which they do it side by side. As you are a bachlor you dont have any tensions regarding family or house work. You can study the rest of the time which you get. Happy posting and have a nice day.
