Do You Prefer a Big House or Smaller House?

I prefer big house as there are 6 persons in my family.So if the house is not big enough,all of us feel narrow to live.The house we present live has a roomy parlour, and my daughter always runs here and there happily.It is so nice to hear daughter's laugh loudly,thus big house is my first choise if we need to buy a new one.

I prefer a house smaller than a small house.. meaning all I need is a little tiny house with ONE bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, a living room (not too big) and nothing else! Because I can cook my own meals in the kitchen, I can take care of my hygiene in the bathroom, I can eat my own meals anywhere in the house (other than bathroom) and I can do my work in my bedroom with a working computer and a desk and a little bed. Actually, I don't even need a bed! because I can just take a nap or sleep on the couch or on the bedroom floor with a comfortable blankies and pillows, that works for me. Who needs a big house with like 3 or more rooms and like 2 or more bathrooms and a huge kitchen with a little dining room with it? I don't need all that!! It is true, like you said, maintenance would kick my @$$ because of load of utility fees and some other extras, but I don't need all that! Get this, if I had the money to buy myself a big house with a lot of rooms and a couple of bathrooms and some more unnecessary extras here and there around the house, I would rather get myself more electronics that I really want, do a little work on my car, and send some money to my family (if I have some more to spare..)

I have never had a big house so I dont know what it would be like. But if I bought one and could choose a small one or a big one. I would choose the bigger one just to see what it is like to live there.

I don't come from a big family so i wouldn't need a big big house. But I love big houses. I like having all the extra room for whatever you want. And even with the biggest of houses the floors can fill up fast with stuff.

I never have lived in a big house except when I was a kid growing up. My last home was 750 sq. ft. which was to small. Not enough closits or cupbords, no garage. I would like a home about 1,600 sq. ft. and 3 bedrooms. One for me one for the cats and one for guests. So I think a smallish house but not as small as my last one. If i had a house too large it would be hard to keep it clean. I have disabilities so for sure I wouldn't want a big house.

I agree with you at all. I have a lot of experience living in big houses, as a child I was in Palmira City in Colombia, and the houses were big and old... Another thing is that the cold is very usual in a house like that. I remember when I played games with my friends, sometimes they never end! just because you can´t find your target... I agree with the lonely feelings. It was very sad a weekend if your parents were out, and the maintenance... never ends either!!! That´s the reason why, right now I live in a very small apartment in Cali city, with my sweet wife and my little son.

I thought I preferred a big house, with having four kids it seemed the best thing to have. Now that I have it I want a smaller house, my house is huge and as I have found out means the kids have more room to make a mess and boy is it hard to keep clean behind them! So, I would like a smaller house with less mess making room!

I prefer a medium sized house.We have 5 people in our household. And that size would fit us just perfectly. I myself don't really like a large sized house, because I am not too fond on staying in something that is very big. It does feel pretty scary staying on one. I will have to admit that one.

I would like to have a small house but not so very small. Just enough for me and my family. Just 3 bed rooms and 1 guest room will be nice. A comfortable living room and a nice kitchen. I don;t like a big house too. It is hard to maintain and as what you said, it is very expensive. I want to have an office and library in my house. that is very good.

I live in a four plex right now. There are 5 kids and me and my husband living here. It is only a three bedroom place. If I had the choice I would like to have a 5 bedroom house but I would not want it to big. I do not think that I would like cleaning a big house.

I prefer a cute little house Filled with happiness and dolls. Filled with my parents,my niece and nephews mischieves,my sister and brother-in-laws care. Tell me which other place can be better than this. A need a place which is small which have people who have big loving hearts. Only that can make a good difference.

When I have kids... yes... I would like to have a bigger house. Because my kids needs space. But as of at the moment... I am happy and contented of having a small room. Its easy to clean and organized. I dont need a bigger one yet. so this small room will do.

I aslo prefer to a smaller house,because I 'm still a single. if the house is too big ,I'feel uncomfortable when I stay home alone.oh, I 'd like to site my small house on a farm , plant some cherry trees and orange trees around my house , keep some pet.

ok i prefer the big houses because i like to feel relax, so in a small house i think it´s not for me. i like the big things

Just like you, I prefer a small house. We are only two in the house, so no need to have many rooms and spaces. Just enough space with two or three bedrooms, nice kitchen and simple living room. It's easier to clean and maintain small spaces.

I actually prefer a big house, bigger than the one we have today. I like the one with a garden and a library, and I would like to build our own instead of buying. Thanks.

i prefer a big house but not very big.its nice if there is lot of space in the house.

Hii i like to have a small but some what spacious house thats it. It should be like short and sweet home,When coming to big house lots of maintainance is needed.and for moving from one room to another room only takes a lot of time in bighouse.....so i prefer small house only.

I like it the big houses because we in my family are six persons, my mom my dad my two brothers my sister and me of courseall my brothers and sisters are married they dont live in the house but sometimes go to visit the family and they have wife or husband and babies!! I prefer a big house because I like to have enough room to entertain lots of people. Maintenance would be expensive but the joy of living in a place with plenty of room to move around would be fantastic. It would also give ample room for overnight guests. I love the idea of having enough room for storage too!
