I call them hustlers, I don't know anything else to call them.
People in the parking lot of business's selling things. They approach you and ask you do you want to buy a CD or maybe a certain article of clothing, a gold chain. Things they are selling out of their cars.
You don't know where these items come from are they stolen are they legitimate?
Have you ever bought anything from these kind of sellers?

In live in a small city, so we don't see much, if any, of that type of activity. Street vendors might be completely legitimate, but I'd be leery of them.

No, never. I have never and would never buy from them. For one, they may be dealing with stolen or smuggled goods and I don’t want to be associated with that. Secondly, I would never sure of the quality and things like CDs, if of poor quality, is bound to affect the hard disk of the PC. Thirdly, I am not sure how long I can use them. So I would never waste my hard earned money on them. If its trinkets like earrings or maybe a bunch of flowers, then I may just pick up something if I am in the mood for it.

I don't buy things from these kinds of sellers.
I just don't trust them. I prefer to buy it in a store
that regularly pay taxes to the government. This way I'm
helping our country's economic situation. Just my personal
views on this matter.

Hi Chevee,
I have never come across anything like that but if I did I will stay well away from people like that and won't buy anything because they may be stolen goods and if I can get the car registration number, I will report him to the police. They could have burgled someone's home the night before, who knows? Hugs.

yes i did.
sometimes i bought music from this sellers because i found something very good that i didnt find in the stores.
is not the best thing to do because i know that you are increasing piracy but i think people do it because of the higher prices of the cd,s in the stores today.

I have never came accross this sort of trade in my travels but I do know if you buy something that is stollen and it's found in your possesion you can be charged with theft, the item is taken away and you loose the money you spent to buy it, so it's something to think about. I think when we're offered as terrific deal we're all the same it has our attention but I'm not a very brave person, I am an honest person and feel I'd be one of the first to get busted for something I didn't do so for that reason I think I'd pass. Interesting question Thank You.

Yes, hustlers is the correct word. Around the holidays you will find a lot of them. They hang around where there are a lot of people shopping, and try to get them before the go int the stores. I know a case where someone thought they were buying a named brad TV from one of these people. They did not open the box to check out the merchandise, and when they got home the box was actually filled with rocks.
Most of the times when you think you are getting a good deal from the hustler the hustler ends up getting the better deal, your money. I would never buy something from someone on the streets, because you are the one stuck with it, because of course if you go back the hustler is no longer there.
