It was a fine day, the sun is up, we headed to the beach to take a dip (btw our house is just a few steps away from the beach). The water is very calm at that time and we are really enjoying ourselves, then it suddenly began to drizzle with the sun still shining. Watching the multiple droplets of rain as it falls into the calm waters, feeling the raindrops as it touches my skin and feeling the cold gust of wind that goes with the rain was just an awesome experience for me. I just savored the moment, watched the vast expanse of the sky above me and felt total communion with nature. After awhile, a rainbow appeared on the horizon and it just completely sums up the whole experience!

That sounds really wonderful. I can ee how the rainbow would just cap it all.
I spent my first 17 years living by the sea and swam a lot, although in the UK only very hardy souls can do it year round. I'm trying to sell my house at present and move back to the coast.
My husband and I once went swimming in the rain in a pool at a campsite. It was early morning and there was a nip in the air. After feeling the rain on our skin, we got into the pool quickly and it actually felt warmer in there, although the water wasn't heated. Afterwards we went back to our tent and wrapped up in towels and sleeping bags to cook out hot breakfast under an umbrella and eat it with steaming cups of coffee watching the rain coming down outside. That felt really good too.
