My dog digging my lawn

I have a dog, a doberman, my pet.She is a cute one and she always wants to remain by my side. She wants to follow me to the market and even to my work-place. She behaves in such a way that she is one of my relatives of this life and of life after life. All these are good. I am really in love with her. The spotted black animal has occupied my mind. Still she has put me into some trouble. She has developed a very bad habit. She at times dig on my beautiful lawn laid with colored and costly flowery plants. I do not like to hit her or put her into trouble of any kind. Will you please tell me what I should do in such a situation?
