I'm so sorry for coming in so late. However, 6 months have already passed and I think it may take somewhat lesser time to get the things falling in order.

Seriously, I think the crisis might last for two years. But I don't think the destruction and side effect that it brings along will be restored within two years. The recessions and unemployment seems like is just starting. Once more people got jobless, and people start to reduce spending, the economy will continue to be worse. It might take four to five years before everything back to normal again.

Now, it is so clear to see that the crisis affect us.some big banks were ruined, mang companies have to cut down investment and laid off workers avoiding to ruin. Last night, I watched TV and got the bad news that many auto industries also have been frustrated in this disaster. I think it will take ong time to recover, some so-called experts said 2 years. I am not so optimistic as them, I think it will be at lest 4 years.

HI michaelnbc. This is the question probably everyone is asking. Te crisis has not only affected business and rich peoples but hard hit by the people on the rad also.
Various analysts are predicting about the crisis since beginning more than one year before. It is their job and probably the earn a lot of money by their articles on economy, no matter it comes true or not.
I am one of the worst suffering investor who has followed analyst's comment on economy and specific security/forex issues. I really can not believe on them anymore.
In my opinion economy fluctuation takes its own course. Several bail out and pouring in of billions of dollars in the market has not improved the situation.
If investors confidence is somehow gained and those investors pulled back trillions of dollars from the market starts buying back again, economy may well improve much earlier than two years.

Hi. I think that the one thing that I've figured out through this whole thing is that no one (even the experts) really knows anything about this crisis. This event is such a unique event and for the first time in history, the entire world is in a tailspin. It's been an interesting experience watching the financial channels and listening to experts tell us that the market just bottomed and then two days later seeing the market plunge over 600 points. IMHO there are three big problems that have to be addressed before things will turn around. First, there must be a solution to the housing debacle. We've got to find a way to keep people in their homes. Second, the bank have got to start lending money. Willing buyers don't do a lot of good unless there are willing lenders. Lastly, consumers have to start spending their money again. Bailouts won't help if we're not going to spend. If all of those problems are addressed, I think that the economy will bottom at the end of 2009 and that we will see a turnaround in the second quarter of 2010

two years is already a long time to recover and i hope to see it coming back somewhere in early 2010. experts in china predict that economy would hit lowest here in mid 2009 and i hope it would recover in 6 months from there when US recovers cos too many of businesses link are related to US and Europe markets. Let us all endure this crisis together and see recovery in 2010
