If you could just watch one TV channel, for say the next year what one would you watch? Would you choose one that has more dramas or comedies? Or would it be a factual one with news and documentaries?
I live in the UK and have Freeview (for people who don't know that gives me about 40 channels that I can watch, it's an upgrade on the standard 5 channels for the UK.) I think I would be torn between either Five US which shows a mixture of comedy and drama such as Whose Line is it Anyway? House M.D. and CSI or I would go for Dave which is mainly a comedy channel showing british pannel shows such as Mock the Week and Have I got News for You.
What I find interesting is that despite the fact I live in the UK and have all my life, I would happily choose a channel with all US programmes.

I would watch either Disney, Cartoon Network, or Nickelodeon from about TEN years ago. That's when it was the BEST! I may not be a kid anymore, but I'm definitely a cartoon ADDICT. :)

I think I would have to have TLC. I love Jon and Kate plus 8 and all the home decorating shows on TLC. The CW would be a close second because I like to watch the new 90210 and Priviledged... hmm tough choice! Good discussion!

difficult.. got normal cable gives about 38 channels and hooked up my tv to internet that gives about 2000 channels more and still i am sitting in front of my pc mylotting;)
but given a choice it's going to be the comedy channel (international) it's got a mix of everything and it makes me laugh.

I would watch Chiller from Satellite. This is the best channel that I can sit and watch all day long. They play many shows of mini series that I love to watch. This would be the channel that I would not get enough of looking at for the next year!

That's a really interesting question..I like it. I think I would watch Food Network:) I really like the channel and I can mostly find something to watch on it no matter what time of the day. I find with other cable channels that's a little hard for me to do. I would be bored watching NBC for the entire day you know. And as you can tell i'm really interested in food:) Though I'm by no means the best chef out there..lol. Oh well if not food network I think I would pick HBO; that's a good channel to have.

I can't answer this! Just put me in a medically induced coma for a year, how does that sound? I just don't know how I could choose just one channel. I'm a news and political junkie so I'd probably go with MSNBC but then again there are several series I'm totally hooked on and unfortunately they're on several different networks - ABC, CBS, NBC, USA, Lifetime, TNT, HBO...
OK I'm ready to go to sleep now and will you please get a couple dozen people to record all my shows for me all year?

I'd probably choose one of the news channel. I'm not much of a t.v. person & most of the times, I have a news station on in my car radio. I do watch movies on occations but that's what dvd is for so I guess I could do without a lot of tv channels.

Very interesting question. If I had to choose just one channel to watch for the next year, it would probably be ESPN. I can not live without sports and ESPN is the worldwide leader of sports. That channel has many games from every sport and SportsCenter is great.
