To young gamers at myLot, which system do you have and think is the best? Xbox, Nintendo, Playstation, Wii, etc.? I'm not a serious gamer (PC games only, occasionally). I've been to these systems' homesites, but as I'm not too tech savvy, I'd like to hear your opinions on these. (I'm thinking of getting one for my nephews & nieces). Please consider cost, ease of use, overall gaming experience.
Thanks.

I personally have always been a diehard playstation fan. The ps2 has been my favorite. When the ps3 hit the market, I was let down a little bit, and decided it was not for me. the graphics are great, but just wasn't what they promised it would be. The Xbox 360 however, does have amazing graphics and a decent range of games to play. the price for the Xbox 360 is by far cheaper than the Ps3 will ever be. As for the Wii, I have never had the opportunity to try olut this console, but from w hat some of my friends have told me, it wasn't worth spending my money on. If you are asking our opinion ion which to buy, then I would have to say the Xbox. I hope this helps.

Thanks for contributing your thoughts. Have heard good things about the XBox, too. Was initially my first choice in fact, but as I have the kids to consider, I wanted to ask around. You're the first to say that PS3 was a letdown, I must say. Wil have to think more about this issue then.

I myself am a pc gamer but the xbox 360 and wii are very good gaming consoles. For your nephews and neices the wii fits the bill. Its got a innovative design and an innovative feature from all other consoles. It is also good considering the fact that it a good exercising device.Unlike other consoles it need you to move your hands and legs to play a game ie;if your are playing boxing you have to move your hands in a punching motion and move around to change your position in the ring, playing tennis also makes you really work your body by making you move around. The games that are coming out for it are also very innovative ones.

Thank you for the insightful comment. I heard about some of these systems enabling users to get exercise as well. If so, that will be good for them. I've come across some articles that don't seem to agree though. I'll look into both more closely.
Thanks again.

Personally I have owned a lot of different systems over the yrs. Even played many online and via online sites, etc. But out of all the systems we have owned, and right now we own a WII and an XBox, I really Love our WII. It is nice to not have to be on a remote, etc. and be able to play a lot of different types of games.

We don't have a gaming machine but my brother in law loves them.
They have a wii because it is so interactive and the software is constantly added to.
One of my nephews has a Nintendo DS which is good for him because he can occupy himself on long journeys and he can play by himself without needing a partner.
The PlayStation 3 has a blue-ray player incorporated which makes it an interesting buy if a whole family are going to use it ,however blue-ray films are quite pricey still .
