I entered another short story contest on the Accentuate Writers Forum. I didn't place this time either. This story wasn't well received at all. Turns out I still need work on the mechanics. A lot of people offered help so I know what was wrong and will do better next time. Seems I can tell a story, I just need help with grammar and such. I'm learning though!

Well done anyway. Go and fix the grammer and enter it in to something else. We all learn by our mistakes. I love writing also but my mind goes funny and I cannot even remember how to spell sometimes.
You really have done well with this. You will do better the next time. Welldone for trying hard and take care.

Thank you.
I know what you mean about the spelling. I do that myself. What I really hate is knowing a certain word that would be perfect, but not being able to think of it and having to use something else instead.
I have fibromyalgia and it really plays havoc with memory!

Hi friend, I can tell that you are always joining writing contest. There is always a writing contest in Hellium. Did you check this site? I have few articles there bu I am not joining the contest. Well, you might do good in there. I think you can do better there. The title is already provided, what you are going to do is just to elaborate and make sense of it. You can check that site if you want. Good luck to your writing career.

Hello.
Sorry to hear you didn't win the short story contest on Accentuate Writers Forum. It's good, though that other writers are so helpful about the grammar. It's nice to have people around you who are willing to take the time to offer guidance. Hope you have better luck in the next writing contest. It seems that you really enjoy writing, whether you "win" anything or not. Take care.

At least you're open to people telling you what you need to change, that's always a helpful trait. I always tell myself, I'm not a good writer, I'm a great re-writer. Good luck with the next one.

Sorry to hear you didn't place second. I like your attitude, you are not going to give up you are learning from your mistakes, and with that you have the motivation and you will go a long way. I will be cheering for you on the next go round. Hope you make it then.

Keep writing and keep entering competitions, the more you enter the more likely you are to win one day. It takes courage to enter your work in a competion and to have your work open for others to read. I'm pleased that people have been helpful and offered you advice. It's always good to have feedback on our work even if sometimes it's not what we want to hear. From that we learn and can improve.
Be proud of yourself for what you have tried so far and keep at it.

You have done your part with best of your abilities. It is better to avoid any sorts of disappointment as it can be a stumbling block to further writing. Keep up the good work, learn to improve the writing skills and work harder. We all learn from past mistakes. Remember, failure is the stepping stone to success.
