Would you like to know your future?

If you met a clairvoyant and she offered to tell you everything about your future (including the year you are going to die and how you'll die) would want to hear it? Why/Why not?
I wouldn't want to hear it, because that knowledge would make my life less exciting and I like the idea of not knowing what is going to happen.

Yes, the thrill will be gone. In a way I am curious to know that is going to happen, but,on the other hand I don't want to know.

i'm in to that sort of thing, and i've found they never say anything bad, especially if you are in an accident. may be if there will be family trouble, but not major things.
i've found you have to speak to different clairvoyants to get better results, and they are not always correct, in what will happen.
my best bets are to go with gut feelings, like the other week my partner said he had funny feeling something was going to happen but we couldn't figure it out until, that after noon when he rolled his parents 4wd/suv.
the other thing is to listen to your dreams, if you remember them, then go and find a dream interperating site on the net to give you a better idea.
but finding out about the future can be fun, and i like to wait and see who was the more correct on when something is going to happen. like no one has gotten selling of the inlaws farm right yet.

Thanks for responding. I like the idea about listening to your dreams. I don't know much about dream interpretation but it could be interesting to find out more about this topic.

I think I'm going to have to go with no. It's best that I don't know. Because say for instance I come to know of my own future, and I will have the tendency to look for that thing or the solutions to the problems which are predicted in my future. I know of some people liking this method; but I prefer to just wait for it patiently. Anyway, a predict is a predict. It is not the truth..

I'm with you. There are some things I'd want to know, but I wouldn't want details. Just tell me, "Yes, you will make it as _________." I don't want to know how or when. I just want to know that it will happen. That sort of thing. I know I'm going to die. How or when is not something I need to know. Not knowing makes each day special, it isn't one day closer to inevitable.
There is an appeal to knowing what will happen in the future. The problem is just knowing something will happen doesn't tell you the surroundings of it. So often, knowledge is confused with wisdom. Knowing something doesn't mean you understand how it fits in the larger picture.
