How long have you prepared for your marriage? Share your experience..

I didn't really think about getting married until my fiancee asked me. We'd agreed to wait 4 years so we could svae up but then he asked me if I wanted to bring the wedding forward to next year. I'd spent 8 months just looking around wedding shops, getting the odd quote, samples, pictures of things I'd like to have and making up my wedding folder. Then when we brought it forward, I've now got less than a year to get it all sorted but I'm having fun with it. Talking over ideas with my maid of honour, parents, fiancee, etc.
