Don't you just love Mozilla Firefox's "Restore Session" feature?

I had so many windows and so many tabs open, and I was multitasking. I was posting on Mylot and yet another forum, and simultaneously, I was publishing content on Associated Content. Then there was a power cut, and I had to go and get my dinner. And then I had to feed the dogs. In the meantime, my computer, which runs on battery in case of power cuts, shut down unexpectedly and then restarted on its own. When I finished my work and returned to my computer, I got connected to the Internet again and clicked on Firefox. A box popped up asking me if I wanted to restore the previous session. This Firefox feature really makes me happy. I could go right back to where I was, and now I have all those windows and tabs open again. I am one satisfied Firefox user. What about you? Cheers and happy mylotting

That's a really useful feature. My PC always disconnect and will close all the browsers. I have to open new browser, go to History and find the URL I went earlier. Therefore, by having that feature, I don't have to waste time searching in the History. The website will be displayed automatically when I re-open Firefox.

Absolutely. That has saved me more than once. I often run more than one window and would not remember where I was or what I had open so I love the restore session. I think firefox is the best browser and I get grumpy when a site tells me it does not use it and I have to load Internet Explorer. I wish all sites had firefox enabled.

I believe most people, if not all, love Mozilla Firefox's "Restore Session" feature. But we should not forget Firefox was not the first. I use Firefox quite a lot not because of the features it has but because it has greater compatibility (and similar vulnerabilities) with Internet Explorer. Due to a different programming structure my favourite browser, Opera, has some minor problems when downloading certain websites. It is faster than Firefox and has speed dial. Nevertheless Firefox wins hands down when it comes to viewing most websites. I said 'most' because one site of which I am a member works only with IE.

I would say that I am also a satisfied user of Firefox. I like their tab features and its 'Restore Session'. I use Firefox for my online jobs, school stuff, and surfing hobby separately without worrying of sudden pc crashes.

I was using internet explorer until my son recommend that i should swap to firefox. Have to say that i find it a lot better and the restore session is a very useful feature especially when you are in the middle of something and it all closes down on you. Unfortunately not all sites use firefox it would be so much easier if they did.

I DO!! I always use it! Although I think if you restore a previous session and then close it again, the computer won't save it for you anymore. You'll need to make changes like opening another tab or something similar in order for the save to happen. I like the feature a lot though because I can open multiple tabs and discussions and leave the house and come back where I left off. :) It definitely saves a lot of time having to look for the same sites all over again!

yes..same here friend. There were some power interruption that happened while I was doing some computer-encoding. Because suddenly happened, I was not able to save all what I've done. When the power backed already, Mozilla Firefox showed it back what I did by asking if I would like to restore the previous session. Of course yes. And as I observed Mozilla Firefox is good and faster that Internet Explorer. I hope Mozilla Firefox could find more good features so that we mylotters could do benefit it. Cheers

Yes, the "Restore Session" from Mozilla is fantastic. Especially when you have only 512 MB memory and your computer crashes every time you're trying to open Photoshop or even Gimp :) Although, lately Mozilla has been consuming quite a lot of resources

Firefox is a very good browser. And Restore Session is useful because I can continue what I want to look at next time. Besides, I also like its "delicious" feature so that I can keep my bookmarks anywhere I go. I love China

I agree I just love the restore previous session because it makes work easier especially if something unexpected happens. Besides that I also like the feature that clears Temporary internet files everytime you end your session. IT helps free up some space and helps the computer run faster

I totally love Firefox and not only with that feature but the download feature also, when you download something on the net, maybe music is automatically saves each and every kilobyte you download, meaning even if you can experience power cut while you are downloading and the download was on 70% then you can still play that song up to the percentage where it stopped in this case up to 70% I think is great in many ways as compared to IE and other browsers where they don't have features like restoring the previous session and automatically saving each and every KB it download. Also the Finjan security feature...you are always protect if you install that addon on your Firefox
