I have been watching the recent happenings in India and I am extremely suspicious of what has happened here. Indian officials all seem to believe this was a highly orchestrated attack, obviously military planned and carried out. It would seem this is not the work of local terrorists and instead a much more powerful force. But who? I have as much information on this as everyone else in America who is watching the news but I want an outside opinion here. What is going on right now in Mumbai? Can anyone give us a different perspective on this? Is anyone else suspicious of these activities?

I feel its happening because India's own politicians..
AS two political parties here are calling bad names to each other and telling bad about each other..
Saying that you should have voted us rather than them.
Trying to show whose the best.
Telling people its up to you.. what you want to choose.. These bomb blast, price rising up, and all those market problems, killings and other stuffs.. or a peace full country with development.
I am not sure about this but I can say this by seeing the timings of all the terrorists activities.. All this is happening under this political party only which is currently in action right now.
And the other political party is blaming them only.. (saying who do you want these bomb blast or us..)
(A very good way to drown the current party's name)

Thank you for the informative response. I am not really aware of the current state of politics in India. This may explain everything. All I know is there is always something to uncover with situations like this because there are unseen forces at work behind the scenes.

Right yesterday or day before yesterday..!
There were 7-8 bomb blast (8 bomb were planted).. in around 5-6 states in India.. right from the previous month!!
I don't know why is this all happening!!

Just watch the news and keep us posted. I hear now two of the "terrorists" were British? Things are not always what they seem. Especially during these apocalyptic times we live in. So many are trying to profit from fear and are only concerned with financial gain that they do not care about the people that are caught in the middle, that are truly suffering because of acts such as this. I am very suspicious of everything going on in the world right now. We are living in the last days. All that has been foretold is coming to pass. God bless all of us.

I am from India and I don't find any thing fishy. This is the work of Islamic terrorists sponsored by Pakistan. At least prima facie reports and evidence suggests that. Ten men attacked three hotels, a pub, a major railway station and a hospital. The plan was to shoot people and explode very powerful bombs. The shooting did most of the damage only two two bombs placed in taxis blew up killing a few people. In the operations by the police & security forces 9 terrorists were killed and on captured alive. The men are said to be Pakistanis and have received extensive training. Credit cards of various countries were recovered from the men killed suggesting two of them were from UK and other countries. Later found to be incorrect since the cards belonged to guests of the hotel who were killed. Various evidences have been found linking the operation with Pakistan but not direct evidence have been found to link the Pakistan Govt. or its agencies. Cell phones & satellite phones used prove beyond any doubt that the terrorists were communicating with some body in Pakistan during the attack.
India has been suffering from Pak sponsored terrorism for the last 30/40 years. First it was Kashmir then Khalistan and now Islamic. The world and particularly American administration did not take note till 9/11 because Pakistan has been a military 7 Political ally of USA and has in the past been used as a counter balance to India in the region.
As in the case of 9/11 conspiracy theories are being spread around. But consider this, the biggest fallout has been Political. People have taken the Politicians to the cleaners for their incompetence. The Ruling Party Congress has already taken hits. The Major Opposition Party has been lambasted for trying to politicize the issue. The security forces, though praised for the operation have been blamed for incompetence. No one in India seem to have gained. The Tata group is one of the biggest Conglomerates in the World and has had major set backs over various projects but hasn't been shaken.
The most probable is what is apparent. Work of trained Islamic Militants operating out of Pakistan.

And thank you very much for the detailed update. I have been trying to keep up with this story and it has been difficult as of late. When this first happened we were not being informed or perhaps the real story had ye to be uncovered. It was nice to be able to get an account of these events from you and Stella, and from people across the globe as well. I do try to stay up to date with current events worldwide, not just in my own country. Thanks again.

Something does seem suspicious but I can't really put my finger on it. Had it happened before the U.S. election I'd really think there was something fishy but as it is, I just don't know what to think. They were looking for Americans in particular and there's been talk of threats against the trains in NYC but it seems nobody's getting too excited about that.

All of these acts are aimed at the tourism centers and aim to create fear and panic amongst the public. It is not beyond our government to commit these acts. I have no proof of anyone's involvement but my suspicions are aroused. The whole thing seemed too professional and all reports definently point to a military group. I wonder if we will ever know what really happened here?

well i have been trying to see it from different angles and the one thing that struck me as odd was the hotel Taj being specifically targetted...
i know trident and nariman house have also suffered damages but none as extensive as the Taj.. it is estimated that a whooping Rs.500 crore would be spend over the next year to restore Taj to its original state.. Now imagine the kind of loss the Tatas are suffering because of this unfortunate event..they cannot get Taj back into business for atleast one year.. now who would benefit from such a situation.
In my craziest thoughts, i imagined that someone who could benefit from the downfall of Taj deliberately funded all the terrorists and asked them to wreak havoc on Taj while they were on the rampage.
Any thoughts on that....???

I haven't been following this story word for word. It's crazy. The 1st thing that came to mind was why the hell are there terrorist attacks in india? who do the indian people have beef with? Attacks on america I understandas we are at war with another country atthe momment. They said that one of the shooters had the education of a 4th grader. That's the last news I heard. And that some american couple that was in the hotel turned their lights out in their room and was lucky enough to come out alive. As for who is behind this I have no idea. It would be easy to point the finger at Bin laden. But who knows. I saw someone blame the bush administration. I'm not deffending bush, but it seems like everybody puts the blame on him everytime something bad in this world happens. I'm not heavy into politics so I don't really have an opinion on that subject.

My whole thing is I wanted to know what is really going on over there. Stella is from India and is giving me a whole different story than what CNN has been reporting. I haven't really followed up on the story after a few days but it just seemed funny.
