Hi! Even if Thanksgiving is over, here are some tips that I sue to keep Turkey moist--
I think one of the key things is the temperature of the oven--follow the guide that goes with your turkey since the temp depends on the weight of the turkey, and having it preheated right makes for a moist & tender turkey.
What we do is we rub a butter, salt & pepper mixture all around the bird, as well as under the skin of the bird (take note to also pierce the bird all around with a fork) then also wrap the tips of the wings in foil to keep it from burning--
Basting is also key in cooking the turkey, constant basting assures for a tender & moist outcome, some even inject the bird to keep it moist...
Hopefully I was able to provide some useful tip! & Albeit late, happy Thanksgiving!!

I cooked a few turkeys the past week. This time I did do the butter under the skin from a tip I had found online. I heard of cutting up orange and lemon pieces and stuffing the bird with those as well. Was hoping to get some additional tips with this post for next year.

I cooked the turkey in a roaster this year. What I did to mine was rub the skin with butter and then stuff some butter under the skin. I also poured some chicken stock in the bottom of the roaster to get more moisture in there. I basted the top of the turkey with some of the drippings a few times too. The main thing is DO NOT OVERCOOK IT! Mine turned out pretty moist. Not dry at all.
