I have been on so many diets in my life and have gotten fatter and fatter. I am now 46 and extremely overweight. Part of me feels that I really can't be bothered any more but part of me wants to loose some to feel better. The weight I am at now my back hurts when I stand for any length of time.
So how to start again, where to get the inspiration to not pick at the cookies or cakes that I love, to pass on the chocolate, sugar is my weakness!!
I would love to drop between 5 to 10kgs, still big but I would feel a lot better but my metabolism is shot to pieces, to many diets and being bullemic when I was younger. I get plenty of exercise, no choice with four kids and two dogs. I kind of know what I should do but doing it is something different.

Extra weight is bad for you as it will relates to some diseases.
I personally thinks that you should not give up your quest, instate spent more time in research and fault finding why your diets did not work.
Most of the time is the diet program that you use did not help you in losing weight effectively. Go get a good diet guide and start to write down your progress. It will keep you motivated and constantly act as a reminder to you to work harder to loss those weight.
Don't worry about those cookies and cakes. They are not totally bad for you, if you know how much to eat without effecting your weight.

I don't think that you should give up. You should think of your four children ( and the two dogs) before you even think about giving up on losing weight. Extra weight also comes with a lot of health problems.
Have you ever tried the Herbal tea diet. Especially chinese green tea. You should drink a lot of sugarfree, chinese green tea.
Good Luck and please do not give up.
