Do you do micro-blogging? If you do not know what is micro-blogging, here is a definition taken from wikipedia:
Micro-blogging is a form of multimedia blogging that allows users to send brief text updates (say, 140 characters or fewer) or micromedia such as photos or audio clips and publish them, either to be viewed by anyone or by a restricted group which can be chosen by the user. These messages can be submitted by a variety of means, including text messaging, instant messaging, email, MP3 or the web.
At the moment there are two sites that promotes such activities that I am familiar with and they are Twitter and Plurk. My wife preferred Plurk to Twitter since Plurk have nice and colorful layouts where you can see the time lines graphically. As for me, I prefer Twitter to Plurk due to its simplicity and straight forward usability. All I need is to send a message to my followers and that is all about it and I do not need all those fancy graphics to show me who is doing what.
Are you using any of this or both? Would you like to share your experience in with any or both of the products. Many people have been asking me to leave Twitter and join Plurk but until now nobody has been able to convince me to do that. Not even my wife.
Hopefully I would get some good response here and see what others feel about these two fantastic tools.
Cheers!
