When your child has grown out of their old toys, what do you do with them?
Do you keep them for the future, whether you plan to have more children, or just for sentimental reasons, do you give them to a charity shop so that someone else can buy them, or do you give them to friends or family that have children that could use them?
For me it depends what condition a toy is in, as I have friends with kids younger than my own son, I often pass them on, though if a toy is worn out I chuck it away. I don’t tend to keep toys for sentimental reasons either, once they have served their purpose, I get rid one way or another.
How about you guys?

I don't keep toys for sentimental value either. I do the same as you, if I have a friend with younger children I will pass them along. If they are worn out I will throw them away. For all those other toys that nobody wants I will donate them to our local salvation army.

it's sweet that you still have the cabbage patch doll that you've had since you were a kid, i too have a cuddly toy dog and a doll that i have had since i was little, and my son has 1 or 2 teddies from when he was a baby.
but i meant toys in general, the ones that kids grow out of (like toys that are for 0-6months, or 3+ years old toys).
